Yall. It's a free podcast. Don't be afraid to be happy with what you have. If it's that important to you I strongly suggest getting a life and leave the babes to be babes
Sal babe, you were so great on Theo's pod! It was wonderful to hear you talk about your daughter and wife. Very moving and beautiful! Nice interview ❤️✨
It was amazing! I had my doubts, I won’t lie bc sometimes comedians are better on podcasts or tv shows than they are at standup. But he got me laughing the whole way through!
I have seen every single episode. I even invitated yall to my wedding. I had no idea Sal had a whole wife and child. So so so happy for you. You guys give my husband and I many laughs. Thank you! Keep it up!
i’ve gotta say the production is like night and day for me since the change. audio and brightness are perfect levels, pictures/videos actually inserted for us to watch. loving it babes
Came to say thank you to Sal for the unbelievable stand up special. It made my heart very full. You feel things like I do, and it is refreshing to see it. Thanks for making me whole week better. ❤ Oh, also hey Chris.
Hey Sal, A) So happy for you, to hear about your family! Thank you for sharing on Theo's podcast, so your audience can be happier knowing about your own happiness. P.S. Remember to feel free to still set whatever boundaries you want. People knowing your family exists is different from you being obliged to answer any particular question anyone has about them on any particular day. I'm just glad that you can now (hopefully) feel more free to talk about them when it feels organically natural to do so, and won't have to navigate a riddle maze to talk about your life while avoiding lying while also keeping a secret that really doesn't have to be a secret. (Or, feeling forced into split-second reaction-lying if backed into a corner where you either have to lie or that person is the first person you tell, and maybe that's not the first person you want to tell or the first context where you want it to become public information... **cough** the nice dude on the Dropouts pod who directly asked if Sal had children, when clearly Sal wasn't ready for that to be the moment he told the public for the first time, and it seemed like he reacted out of panic **cough**. Hopefully, now that Sal later shared with Theo so the basics are public information, he won't find himself in that awkward situation again. He's talked about how important honesty and integrity are for him so I imagine he felt really uncomfortable telling a direct lie, and I hope it now feels like a weight is lifted knowing he had control of the first time he shared the info publicly, and from here on out he doesn't have to lie about having a family but can just straightforwardly moderate the amount of information he shares about them. You can acknowledge a pipe exists while also acknowledging that the spigot is closed and you're not opening it to share the contents with people..) Remember that you still get to set whatever terms you want, and it's totally okay if, should someone ask you a question about them that you don't want to answer for ANY REASON (your reasons are yours), you just give a polite stock answer and redirect the conversation instead of giving details. You don't have to feel out of control from people knowing that you have a family; you can take control in terms of what you do vs don't share about them. It doesn't have to include a lie; you can just truthfully not want to tell someone something, and it's fine to say that. (Though I know with your popularity and friendly image you may want to find a cheerful, joking way to do that.) B) Looking forward to your special tomorrow! Your passion for your work is inspiring (I'm at a crossroads stage of my own life right now and appreciate watching artists of various kinds just do, and work hard at, what they want to do). I'll be tuning in to support, for sure! Hope you're having a great week 🙏
Dionne Warwick’s sister singing That’s what friends are for to Whitney Houston after she redacted her is very funny. Now and again we get Legion of skanks Sal and I love it 😂
27:07 reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077, having a feature installed in your body that automatically translates languages you hear near you. Absolutely wild.
I really hope your special does well, putting it on that other channel, I’m not sure if that decision will benefit how well the special does or if putting in on this channel would have been better. Regardless best wishes
i am bilingual, good cook and can play instruments but i don't enjoy any of those - wish i enjoyed them - enjoying a "skill" is what most ppl prob long for more than the skill itself
Music was "better" back then cause nowadays everyone listens to the same two genres and never branch out thus making music nowadays seem the same AND an over abundance of so many artists in rhe same genre. Want new music? Branch out to stuff you dont listen to on the regular, babes.
