I like this song, it's definitely my fave English release. The lyrics and where they split the parts is beautiful. The imagery with the red string, going on deck after the strom, the wind, the underwater part with them holding hands... the fact that it's natural and not all heavily edited with cgi and transitions like it's the trend right now... Not to mention the vocals and how they improve with every release! I think it's about themselves though and not us fans. Just celebrating that they got over every hardship to where they are by relying on each other (that's how I interpreted the underwater scene at least)

The Song and MV itself reflects to them. Their bond and friendship that irreplaceable. The red string symbolize good luck and protection bracelet as well as feeling a loving connection to others. So the song can interpret in both way towards them or Once.

This is Pre-release... Comeback and 13th mini Album "With You-th" on 23 Feb. Chae has lots of tattoos - approx 14 (you're obv not a fan !). The one behind her right ear is a heart with an arrow thru it. The song is about struggles and the members staying together and managing thru rough times. There is the red string theme thru the MV .. keeping things held together

For me, I feel that this song and mv is telling us that Twice and Once will be together no matter what. Like every member had a period when they were sick (physically, mentally, emotionally) and we've been there for each other. Since their debut back in 2015, this may also be interpreted that the members will branch out to solo/sub unit projects but will still remain as Twice (Like Girls Generation)

And one thing I'd like to add is that recent K-pop songs, as you mentioned, are more likely to have hums like "do do do", "na na na", and "la la la". There are some opinions from some Korean listeners about this. Ordinary Korean music fans and listeners have been complaining about the noticeable increase in lyrics in English in Korean pop music for some time. So some composers began to reconsider listeners complaints and also to begin using humming without lyrics as solution that could be accepted by listeners all over the world.
