Agree. As someone who tried ballet, cheerleading and other dances, I find ballet the most difficult which is why I quit after a few months.

You get injuries like broken toes, twisted ankles... maybe even broken legs... torn tendons or ligaments... and bloody broken fingernails. Ouch.

I was a ballet dancer. It seems like “delicate and soft” movements, but truth is that to get that point, I needed to study my own body, making it harder. ITS SO DIFFICULT. I’m absolutely proud of Mina’s ballet habilities

I try it, very easy, but for some people it's can be some hard.

nobody takes ballet seriously anymore, it’s called a ‘girly girl sport’ when anyone can do it. it’s a beautiful form of art.

@@w4zux I agree, I have a close friend who has been doing ballet all her life, she is so amazing and talented. It truly is beautiful, and it angers me when people think that anyone can do it. It takes practice, strength, and discipline.

@@endaime26_52 she dances very good,and her facials aren't the best,but are great. She had anxiety so it's harder for her to feel the stage and manage it,it's okay. I believe she will improve.

@Liza Johnson finally, someone noticed that too. I'm not against her, but for me, I think her title as a main dancer along with Momo is too much for her. She should be in the vocal line of the group. Not because she's a trained ballet dancer for years, doesnt mean she's instantly the group's main dancer. Ballet is very different from idol's way of dancing

Dance as dance is very similiar,it has alot of styles. But,ballet is very great,and many people who wants to dance certain style train it at least just a little since it helps with discipline, technique,grace etc. Ballet is harder than idol dances and in terms of dance,she slays it. But,I do agree she could improve her stage presence,just people shouldn't force her too much. Malorie then she probably never got proper training. She did it for 11 years. If you were to learn a certain dance for 11 years, you’ll be pretty good at it but since y’all are saying she’s not, then it’s most likely due to her teacher.

Her turnout is non-existent, her knee doesn't straighten and her ankles aren't strong enough for pointe.(even though she used to do pointe work) I can point out so many things wrong but then we'll be here all day. I like Mina but Twice fans need to stop over hyping her and saying she could've been a pro ballet dancer. It's far from the truth.i know once says it to be nice but we don't have to sugarcoat. It's a good thing she has an idol career because she couldn''t have been a pro ballet dancer, even if she kept up with her training.

@@OurLove4Dance how would you even know if she'd still suck even if she kept training in ballet? I reckon most ballet dancers started out with sucky techniques but made immense improvements because they kept practicing. I have no doubt Mina would be the same if she had kept practicing and refining her techniques. But since they're idols, i doubt she'd have enough time to do that. However, if she ever stops being an idol, then she'd have more time to improve on her ballet skills and be a professional.

You can't blame her, she joined twice's discography and of course won't have time to practice ballet again.

I actually think she’s probably not giving it her all as she didn’t wanna hurt herself. She is an idol now, she can not afford to have any injury from doing ballet moves which mere purposes is just to entertain people for a few minutes in the show.

@@beabeez417 If that were the case no artist would be giving it their all. There are ballet dancers who only have a few minutes of time on the stage, they still give it their all. It's their job to perform. Same goes for her.

Not finding an excuse for her, I just thought that one of the reasons could be due to her not wanting to injure herself from doing ballet moves because at the end of the day her job is to perform idol choreography, not ballet. Also, she had a knee injury about 2-3 years ago and wasn’t in tip top condition since then. Up until before her anxiety news came out mid of last year, she was still seen wearing some type of kinesiology tape on her knee. I guess following her idol journey kinda shone some light to me on why she doesn’t perform as well as she should and can be.

I think she never had proper training, she just did ballet as a hobby. At 5:02, it's a video of her doing ballet at around the age of 12, and you can see her technique is not so good. She looks good if you don't know much about the dance, but when you compare it to other dancers, the lack of everything is very apparent.

@@misssamawal9859 for an idol, she’s very good. but ballet wise, she’s pretty ok. an improvement with her technique specifically in the legs could be better. her fouttés werent stable enough because her core seems to be weak. probably it’s because of the lack of practice and the fact that she’s focusing on twice. nonetheless, i appreciate her gracefulness and fluid movements

I think Jihyo and Momo. Because Mina is a soft dancer and not a sharp one. Her movements are so minimal. Jihyo, Jimin J-hope (and jungkook) movements when they dance is very sharp and so on point
