Twiggy (Lawson, Lesley Hornby) dancing and modelling in the late 60's. Also a small interview clip from the 70's. She is great! The song played is "Jimmy Mack" by Martha & the Vandellas. This video has had 34,869 views in 8 months.
@@Jenni-Martikainen Russia 1,000 times better country than Finland. In Finland Leftist politicians control people's lives with their diabolic political correctness. In Finland people have to go buy liquor outside of Finland, what kind of "supposedly happy" country is that ?
God broke the mold when he made twiggy! She was the face of the 60's. Like Cindy Crawford was of the 90's Her eyes, smile..just beautiful. So photogenic! She's aged beautifully!
Twiggy always comes across as the most sweet-natured kind of person. Back in the 60s, I was professional photographer in London studios, but sadly, I never photographed her.... although I wish I had. (I photographed Samantha Juste, in bed!)
Sophia Garcia I met lots of the famous London models of the time in my work... but my favourite recollection is from earlier in my life, when I saw (Dame) Helen Mirren on stage while she was still at school... as was I at that time, (but at a different school.) On that day I made a note of her name, because I thought she was so good in her role, she might one day be very famous.... and I was right!!
+DarjeelingJelly People really can't understand that we are bild diferent or you just enjoy beeing ignorant? People tend to criticize what they can't be. Its pathetic
+Firsthgyhgyhuy Lastujhujhuj ......first of all I know she's alive and well. I actually like her as a person. Secondly, she did starve herself, she even admitted it and is an advocate for young models against starvation everywhere. Lastly, there's no need to go around calling people cunts, and being disrespectful. Thanks, have a good day.
+Yasper Madmoon SOME. PEOPLE. ARE. NATURALLY. THIS. SKINNY. Like myself. I'm so sick and tired of having to repeat that. Research it, it's all about the abnormally fast metabolism. People these days are allll about accepting every body type except those of us born slender and tall and flat chested and what have you.
So Twiggy was the first supermodel. I watched a Twiggy documentary and before her all the models had been stiff aristocratic ladies. Twiggy seems to have been the first model to create the image that we associate with models today.
I've always thought Twig was gorgeous. I love the way her eyes look. She could wear anything and look cool. I think bodywise I wouldn't wanna be that SKINNY, but it suited her look. I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to achieve that figure, it was natural for her. There is such a low percentage of people who are naturally that thin
I have to say, Twiggy suited in her skinny body. You can see that she's natural thin and happy as well. Just like Sophia Loren was born with feminine curves, Twiggy was born to be a baby doll. The dead looking models of today don't look happy at all, because most of them have to fight against their own bodies to stay annorexic thin. I really don't like the idea of how woman "should" look today. Everyone should just be happy with their own bodies and stay healthy! I LOVE her style. You rock Twig!
Please can you upload more songs of Twiggy. Do you have all the Supersonic songs where Twiggy performed? If so, please upload them all on this channel.
That sparkly dress she's got on looks a lot like one of the mod Barbie or Francie outfits. It's cool! I wonder if the costume designer at Mattel got her inspiration from this outfit?
Definitely not Twiggy's fault. Models before Twiggy were also very slim, and heavily corseted too. Check out Dorian Leigh, and Dovima: Two very elegant and beautiful super models, who had builds that were typical of fashion models in the 1950s
I clicked on this video because I knew who Twiggy was, and when they mentioned Jean Shrimpton I had to google her name. So maybe that says something lol.
