The Twilight Saga rolls on into the god awful entry that is Breaking Dawn Part One. It's boring and weird and also gross. Why did they do this. There's a wedding between a one hundred plus year old man and a teenage girl and then a grown man falls in love with a baby. I mean they try to justify it will all sorts of werewolf and vampire lore but it just boils down to a horrible time at the movies. No. And boo.

She is meant to have an adult mind and act wise beyond her age. especially with the jaboc imprinting thing they really needed to do what they could to make it marginally less creepy (a lost cause but still-) I don't think it looks good but I prefer the weird inhuman CGI baby to an actual baby. Does it fix the imprinting stuff? No. Would it have been even worse with a real baby? I think so.

Babies can be great actors with the right editing, they're literally seeing everything for the first time every reaction and look from them is geuine. The reason the message of Twilight is so all over the place is because it's Mormon propaganda(in the neutral sense, to propagate an idea) and the book of mormon is all over the place. Stephanie Meyers gives a ton of money to the church of LDS and has openly said that Twilight Promotes Mormon Values. I'm not even criticizing really I just think it's interesting.

Yeah, among other things, it certainly explains the books' approach to romance and marriage. Mormon beliefs include the idea of destined "soul mates," as it were, and having only one sexual partner/spouse, which is why Edward and Bella get married after only 11 months and why Jacob imprints on a fucking baby. They're "destined" to be together because that is a Mormon belief.

A quick note from someone who knows too much about Twilight, that one girl werewolf has it the worst of anyone in this series Her ex-boyfriend is another one of the pack who imprinted on her cousin, scarred her when she rejected him and now she has to hear him go on about how much he loves her through their link, her dad had a heart attack and died when he found out she’s a werewolf and because she’s the only female werewolf she has to figure out that works all by herself and is banned from thinking about things like her period because it freaks the rest of the pack out On top of all of that the entire pack, including Jacob, treat her like shit because they think her constant whining drags them down

@@IveGotAMatch I'm not sure he was "made" to do anything, but he claimed to have "distant" indigenous ancestry on his mother's side. the main issue is that they cast a white guy to play the most prominent and popular native character in fiction at the time. like this was a teen heartthrob for a lot of people who were well aware that he was native in the books, in fact it was a huge part of the storyline. and they just couldn't have him actually be native in the movies.

Just a thought about imprinting: if the girl grew up to be a lesbian, would the werewolf become a transwoman? I'm pretty sure Meyer would say no, but that is the logical implication of the "becoming the perfect partner" aspect of imprinting.

He moves like a wolf, lightly bobbing his head and you keep still because you think that maybe his visual acuity is based on movement like a vampire. He'll lose you if you don't move but no not the wolf boy, you stare at him and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes not from the front but from the side, the other two wolf boyz you didn't even know were there. Cause wolf boyz are pack hunters you see he uses coordinated attack patterns and he is out in force today.

I looked up when the full moons appeared in the year the Prisoner of Azkaban was set and they didn't match up with the warewolfy dates in the book at all. Because of this video, I know that full moons in Twilight did match up with reality, and I still don't know what to do with that information.

Here's a fun fact: I have a semi-personal connection to Taylor Lautner. He went to high school with a close friend (which was on a Native American Reservation). He would constantly brag about his martial art skills, and tried to start fights about as often as you'd expect. ALL FOUR YEARS of high school, he had kept the same girlfriend, who he planned to marry... Until he got his first role, and IMMEDIATELY dumped her non-famous ass like a newborn baby (one he could not imprint upon). Lastly, he did gymnastics through the school's 'nastics program, and he apparently sucked at it. In an interview later on, he claimed he was "pretty good for [his] size." So, basically, he is about as awful as you'd expect. For legal reasons, the above statements are all categorized as "allegedly."

That Imprinting nonsense sounds like reverse mind control. That would unironically be a cooler story to see someone fall into that cycle and do everything in their power to break it rather than for the author bend over backwards to justify it. Just my two cents.
