I'm fascinated how despite the length of your videos you don't mince words and everything you say feels very relevant to making an opinion of the game. I have never left a review of yours and not felt absolutely confident whether I want to game or not. Props
Wow, thank you!! The length of videos sometimes concerns me but I'm of the ilk that believes a proper review should be detailed and take its time. I don't subscribe to videos where it's "X in 1 minute, 3 minutes, 10 minutes" etc because they omit key details and "why's" in their opinions.
It's good that copies the idea that GMT has been doing for many years, GMT calls it a playbook, basically all their games have it and it helps learning a tonne.
I haven't played the game and I don't know if it's possible...but I think it would improve a lot if the map was joint for the players, with Mecatol in the center, like the original TI. There would be more interaction and the "war" board would make more sense.
@@lastburning Don't get me wrong, I love this kind of game!! And my partner too. You can make a board that is "roll and write" for different numbers of players. Or modular with hexagon, as in the original TI. But instead of with ship miniatures, let it be written on the board.
Twilight Imperium 4 is probably the best game I'll never play again. Every time it allures me with it's epic, I remember it's a ~10 hour slogfest with horrendous downtime, and think I'll pass. I'm almost more interested in this, with it being a whole different game and such.
