I’ve personally only played Skyward Sword, and still never managed to finish it. I feel threatened by LoZ’s expansiveness and ongoing storylines, alongside the growing lore and not-so-affordable games and consoles you need to play said series. But even mentioning the game to someone is an exciting experience, and seeing people collaborate and create their own vision based off the series is an amazing and immersive experience, more-so than just playing the games themselves. I love what you’re doing, and I’m thankful you’re doing it, because a thing that brings people together like LoZ only ever comes once in a lifetime, and it’s amazing that I’m seeing people make use of such a gift. Your “Shadow” videos are great, lovely even, and I’m glad I got to see them.
The Hero of the Skies had to say farewell to his sword spirit Fi. The Hero of Time had to say farewell to his fairy Navi. The Hero of the Winds had to say farewell to the King of Red Lions. The Hero of Twilight had to say farewell to his companion Midna. The Legendary Hero had to watch an entire island of people vanish as if they never were, and a close friend turn into a seagull. And I think the Hero of the Minnish had to say goodbye to his goofy-looking bird hat.
Damn I didn't expect that flashback of Navi and the Hero's shade. So heartbreaking😭 Don't be too critical with yourself MajorLink, your work is truly amazing and always manages to move my heart. It may not be perfect in your eyes, but it does convey the emotions and that's what matters most in all forms of art.
Same! It caught me so off guard damn... got me in my feels so quick. This scene was amazing, definitely more moving than the original. The game could've been 100x better if the emotion was conveyed this way consistently throughout the story, and they actually told us what the connections to other titles were instead of making us have to go look for the info outside of the games.
It’s not that sad she goes back to wear she belongs triumphantly. And there is always a loop hole they could meet again in the situation called for it.
Wow... I did not see that coming from Midna nor the memories of Ocarina Of Time tying in... Also I thought original was sad and made me want to cry, but this made me want to cry even worse... However I loved it... It was very touching... Keep up the good work MajorLink...
Of course damnit his girlfriend left him for to keep her and his world sefe from baddies but it wasn't as sad as everyone thanks at least link didn't cry that would have been a Naruto moment if that happen we be hearing sadness and sarrow the very good but heartbreaking song
Kingsonic99 dude, I'm on board for that! To achieve this feat is well deserving of a place in Nintendo. And he/she didn't even have to break the bank to do these animations.
@@929er13 we gave up Fi at the end of Skyward Sword... it was Navi and Midna all over again. It was just as bittersweet. Hearing the Fi chime in the Botw cutscene almost ripped my heart out.
I love the flashback of The Hero's Shade with Navi. Nice touch and a great re-imagining of an already beautiful ending. well done! Looking forward to your next project!
Maybe they won't let you make an actual movie because Nintendo knows anyone in the theater that went would die of true heart break at the end. Right in the feels bro. That's how good it was...
every link with a companion always say goodbye together....... And dont worry maybe they will see each other in the next or new Zelda game just wait and see
This was one of the most heartbreaking moments in all of Zelda. And you found a way to make it even more. The Hero of Time lost his closest companion, and went through hell to find her, only to fail. The Hero of Twilight, suffered the same loss, only he knew exactly where she was, with the extra twist of the knife being, that no matter what he did, he would never see her again. The Hero of Time died with his regrets, but he had hope. The Hero of Twilight, was not even given the luxury of hope, that he would see the Twilight Princess once more.
the thing with the hero of time is i think he knew deep down that navi was dead bf he died i really do so he gave him self false hope knowing it was false so the question is whats worse having false hope knowing that hope is undoubtly false or having no hope at all
@@FoAmY99 knowing the manga adaptations of Zelda just recreate the main storyline of the games, adding just secondaries plots to develop Link, I would rather call them semi-canon.
Dude why are mad at your work here? Your animation only gets better with each video (my favorite being Lost Without Regrets). And I'm sure i don't see Nintendo paying you big cash for Dreamworks level of animation, so for this is cinema quality in my book, especially seeing that this is for RU-vid. Ever though of getting a job at Rooster Teeth (if you haven't already)?
Well done. I wish you could have used the original tear cracking the mirror sequence, but I suppose that there were probably reasons why you couldn't. I loved the tie in to the Hero's shade. Again, well done.
I thought this was just a recreation of the TP ending, but I was not expecting that moment of OOT link and Navi. Dog I was not prepared for those tears 😢
That's the sad, twisted curse of a true hero. Give everything you have to save everyone, only to lose that which matters most to you in the end. Being a hero is as much a gift as it is a curse for the Chosen One bloodline in the Zelda series. Every single Link that's given their all to save Hyrule deserves better. Beautiful video, by the way. Loved that little nod to OOT. Very nice touch.
Actually, Middy, light and shadow CAN mix. Hence why we have different shades or shadow ranging from barely visible to almost black. So stop being dumb, grab Link, and get to making some heirs to your throne.
This scene was very emotional for me back in the days! But you recreated it wonderfully😢 So with that said, you got my respect! That was very impressive! Keep it up! 😉
I can understand wanting the jarring feeling of the spear suddenly stabbing the mirror, but I miss the tear shattering it. It’s a lot more mystical, and it really shows her true feelings. Still, great video as always. I love your work!
I was so sad when Midna destroyed the mirror that I played the boss fight again and again to see this beautiful ending.... I‘m still sad that Midna will never see Link again... 😭😭😭 They had such an epic adventure together!! 😭😭 And now I see it again... Good job mate! This is an awesome animation
Dude, I've never actually cried with videogames before this scene. The first time I beat this game, I was left crying like a little kid at this part. 😭
What made that scene was the flashback of the Shade calling for Navi. The first true heartbreak for his bloodline. Really cemented the atmosphere, there.
Why'd you have yo destroy the mirror in this version too ; o ; All I want is for midna and link to be happy together 4ever. BUT NOOO But I digress.. you have such phenomenal videos!! I'm taken away by these. You've got such talent 😏. Never stop creating!!
It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live my friends… a most wonderful person minda… don’t let her goodbye stop you from doing good in the world. ❤️
Just, Ocarina of time makes me cry.. i honestly miss navi and it was hard letting her go. It made me very upset... Thank you Majorlink Thank you for doing what you do.
With every passing video you get better and better. Your story telling is just amazing and you keep the viewers intrest making them hungry for more. I'm glad you're doing these videos and always look forward to your next upload.
Ganondorf must have damage the Water Medallion token since it does appeared in the background during the first hidden skill after the white wolf is blocking the entrance of the Forest Temple and teaches Link the first hidden skill. Link does agree with the first hidden skill, the ending blow. When the enemy is lying on the ground, Link does give a chance to give the ending blow and the death to the enemy as long as he is lying on the ground, such as Boboklins. Link can use the techniques on Boboklins in the Forest Temple earlier of the game as well as the other upcoming Temples, such as Goron's Mine, and Lakebed Temple, respectively in that order. Also, Link must use the hidden skill 2, known as the Shield Attack before entering the Goron's Mine, and hidden skill 3, known as the Back Slice before entering Lakebed Temple, but Link must howl at the Special stones as of Wolf form for a new melodies each.
Sorry, but the tear shattering the mirror is way better than your depiction. Cause the original showed how much she'd miss him after closing the link between their worlds... you lost the feelz man. Not sure why you went with chucking a spear at it... that's kinda cold.
Ya know? Your videos are allways emotional, and it brings me a lot of memories and feelings, but that cut to Navi departure hit me like a truck, two tears came out from my eyes, congratulations, you made me cry after a couple of years without doing so
Gotta say, the separation hits hard. Midna using her powers to shatter the mirror shows that she has the best interests for the Twilight Kingdom and Hyrule. The overlap of Navi leaving the Hero of Time only makes this scene more hurtful. Great story.
Damn it! It's heartbreaking how Link's happy right when Midna says "We'll see each other while the mirror's arround" and then sees how she destroys the mirror. T_T Nice work, keep up! Btw, you can do one on Link and Mipha cutscene from BotW. Watch it, you surely can make all of us cry.
Bravo Mayor Link you are a myth you are fantastic I am a huge fan of the legend of zelda and I played twilight princess finished everything you are extraordinary.
That parallel you made with Navi and Ocarina of Time was bone chilling. Wow, I really don't know how to thank you for sharing your amazing story telling skills. Thank you so much
I remember being sad when I first played this on GameCube back in 06. But you made me actually tear up. That flashback to the hero of time’s sudden farewell with Navi got me so choked up. You are amazing. I’m just a 32 year old fellow crying now. Beautiful work!
