Something about the character of all these sounds. How they cut through in any mix, the glossy sheen over them. I will never sell mine! I have the rack version: same thing but no terrible touch screen! Whilst I find editing on it to not be as in depth-as I like, I often never have the need to synthesize on it anyway. I use it in my studio for the ready to go sounds: the lush strings, glossy pads, deep brass. All I do is play with the effects, adjust the ADSR envelope and play with the quick knobs. All I need!
You know what? The charm of the unknown shows here. The stuff you winged out of the synth blindly definitely gives the video some thrills! Or maybe I'm just plain weird. Either way, loved it.
There is a small contrast button for the screen on the back of the keyboard right next to the assignable pedal. It helps a bit to adjust the contrast on the screen in sunlight. But it can still be hard to read in direct sun.
Glad its all Over, by Capt. Sensible from album Power of Love… My favorite album as a preteen in the early eighties!!! And Im not even from the UK. I love the semi random re-voiced renditions! Peace
So well put together, so nice to watch, so honest... (those "Africa" chords :-) ...-... great summer garden concert party... I will never give me Triton LE away...
i started playing the piano/keyboard one year ago at the age of 52., because of kraftwerks great melodies and these amazing songs and sounds from the eighties. i wish, that one day i am able to entertain myself like you do. greeting from berlin - palo
Love it Woody... by coincidence our little 2 piece 80s band is playing an outside gig on our front garden tomorrow for friends, family and neighbours. Grab a few cold beers and come join us in Ireland
Made me smile Woody and took me back!! Discovered your channel a few months ago and really enjoy your videos and your style of presentation! Top job fella, thanks for putting yourself out there for all to enjoy!
I got this thing in June 2023 :D Now I have the entire line from M1... 01/Wfd, Trinity Pro, Triton, ...to M3. Owned a Kronos X, but sadly I sold it 9 years ago. Not a fan of Nautilus.
There’s one track you played with the intro to Life’s What You Make It - Talk Talk. Was waiting for it to kick in and turned out to be something else lol
RANDY JUDAH TORREZ ❤️ < DUDE I have The *KORG TRITON* Pro work station 76 keys there wasn't anything difference that I'm aware of but I never compared them side by side I know the KORG Studio used cd disc for recording and the KORG Pro uses floppy 💾 and the body shape on the studio version is different than the Pro. TRITON is a fantastic work station I'm playing a *ROLAND FANTOM 7* now but I miss playing my TRITON, FANTOM is truly extraordinary but TRITON is one of a kind. That Studio you sold was worth it's wait in GOLD.✨️✨️
@@WoodyPianoShack To be fair it came out Jan 8th 1990 and it wasn't until 1992 that the 90s actually sounded like the 90s so I think you get a pass lol.
Well, I might be softening my position a little bit on the Triton. I still think it's a bit of a step back from the Trinity, but it does make up for it in quantity of sounds, and it's more flexible too. I did pull out my Karma and ... yeah, sounds like that. Then I pulled out the TR Rack again, and... nope, still like it more for pads and atmospherics. I'll probably go hunt down the Triton rack, but not really in a hurry. I DO want a Kronos tho, so really not down on the Korg sound. Nice recovery on the songs, BTW. Looks like you really had some fun!
Regarding the Sinead O’Connor tune, it helps to play it as the Prince original version, which is a lot more gospel. Enjoyed the gig! Thanks Wood-meister
I think the lcd contrast adjustment is on the back. I wonder how long these keyboards will last. I’ve still got the 76 note version. Hardly used so it’s like new
Prefer the Yamaha Motifxf for this type of work, love the playing though! What a blessed enviroment to live in (From a council ran tower block in darkest London NW). :)
Like the Flock of Seagulls. So were your VST patches using expansion boards that were not in the keyboard? You could have tricked us and triggered the PC remotely😉.
my viewers would not fall for that, they would surely notice the midi cable :) no idea why this triton has a different soundset than the vst and what is listed in the manual. but it ain't mine so i didn't want to reset it.
It's not so much badly played Woody. But I have taken notice you often play hit songs with the completely wrong type of sounds in some of the demos. I've been puzzled by this. You test a lot of synths, and clearly know your sounds. So when you find a sound that matches a hit song, why not play it on the correct sound? It will help people identify what synths they need for certain sounds. Especially when demoing classic synths. I've considered making videos myself to do this. But lately there are so many bands around here covering the hits of the 80s at live venues, if I started doing that, my band wouldn't sound so special if everyone knew what sounds I was using.
i guess i'm not interested in auditioning hundreds of patches to find the closest match each time I play a song? i prefer just to first pull up the patch, and then play whatever comes to mind, regardless if it's the actual sound used in the original recording, to be frank, i don't give a damn about that : ) sorry ;) but go for it yourself, I'd subscribe to watch that!
In this minute 6:09 same as this music you use synthesyzer with the band five minute from indonesia ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PzneZoX5AbM.html
