Twilit Fossil STALLORD Boss Fight - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD 

Miss traditional bosses like this....sure they were easy but they were quite fun to fight.

I love the opening cutscene, just because of how powerful it makes Zant seem. "Oh, you've reached the end of the dungeon? Well, hold on a second while I bring this skeleton back from the fucking dead to fight you!"

Watching this fight makes me remember how much I hated those dead dudes that pop out of the sand to defend Stallord's spine

Did anyone else feel kind of bad for the boss in this one? This thing was clearly killed brutally and left to die, then just gets reanimated to die again like it ain’t no thing. No wonder he’s pissed. “YOU NEVER LET ME REST IN PEACE, DAMN IT.”

I remember entering the dungeon, looking at the dead skeleton and being all "Nope nope nope"

This was one of the most intimidating bosses in LoZ history, but the mid-stage boss was downright frightening for me when this game first came out.

One of my favorite bosses in all the Zelda games, high velocity and damn good music.

Arbiter’s Grounds was a good dungeon in Twilight Princess. There was also the Zora (or Underwater, I forget at the moment) and the Snowpeak Mansion. I would have loved it if those were dungeons in “Breath of the Wild” or in the upcoming sequel

I kinda wanna know what Stallord was when it was alive.

Jeez, even in death Hyrule's soldiers are freaking useless... Pretty dark that they're even there in the first place though, not gonna lie.

I remember this fuking temple when i was a kid, i get scared so much that i wait to my brother to pass me this, was spooky as hell for me in that times, o men the memories of this game

The zant boss battle shoulda included a version of the stallord boss fight, zant's big head shooting energy balls at Link, and zant falling off every time Link strikes the big head with the spinner. That woulda been more epic

7:55 Don't know why, but Stallord's dying howl always made me feel a little bad about killing him.

I don't know exactly how old Stallord's corpse is, but that Spinner is pretty fucking impressive, being able to shatter spinal columns in 1 bump like that.

Stallord has to be one of the greatest bosses in the whole Zelda series!

This was the funnest boss throughout my zelda childhood, my favorite

I can't get over how perfect the second part of the boss is handled. The arena is large enough where you know you're going up the pillar, but it feels more like you're chasing after a fleeing creature in stead of riding an elevator. The rails are aligned where you can avoid being hit but not loose the momentum or height unless timed incorrectly. This is one of my favorite boss fights in Twilight Princess!

I love the suspense moment in the music when in the second faze you knock down stallords head, always pumped me up whenever it came

When I had this game for Nintendo GameCube long time ago in 2008-2010. I replace the boss music on this level with the band cradle of Filth song named Gabriel. For some reason the song fit just right. I just played music over top of it that's all lol. I miss this game so much. Whoever has this game if it be for the Gamecube or the wii please enjoy the great old classics! :D Great job by the way!

I was so hyped the first time playing this boss. My favorite boss song from Ocarina of time amplified it even more!

This is one of my favourite and most fun boss battles of all the Zelda games

Dam back then in those times when you needed to figure out by yourself how to defeat a boss without any clues about its weak spots.

I HATED it when those shadow guys kept blocking me. I found out you could hit them via sword. (But its pretty pointless cause they just come back)

The massive arena and mechanic of this boss, though is not as difficult as it could have been, is still awesome in some many ways.

This game was a journey for me when I was little. I got stuck on the tutorial area (the village) for what I can only imagine was a year or two, maybe more.. because I didn’t read or something, Who knows. Then being too scared to complete THIS dungeon for the longest time. It felt so good to complete

I'd love to see him in a new zelda game but in a living state. What would he look like with skin and a lower half?

This boss was a nightmare for having spinning blades on the second phase as if timing your jump before stallords attack wasn’t difficult enough, I was like 10 or 11 when I fought him so maybe I’ll give it another go and see if it’s still difficult, but it sucks we never get another boss like stallord cause that second phase could be in a LOZ movie

If Gleeock is back in TOTK, Stallord can come back too

thanks for this video, i'm currently stuck at this boss and the only thing keeping me from fighting it is anxiety. i have really bad emetophobia(fear of nausea/getting sick) and my dumb brain thinks that in the first stage it looks like stallord is getting sick. i'm watching this to tell my brain that nope, it's just fire, and that i can do this. i'm gonna try besting this guy tonight, hopefully i can do it :)

1:13 idk why but to me he sounds SUPER powerful when he does that war cry.

What you have to remember is that this is a high definition Gamecube game.

The theme brings back memories of Volvagia and King Dodongo.

I remember having such a hard time in the second phase on the Wii in like 2012 I really thought it was over when you took out its spine...and then the game said "You ain't seen nothing yet!"

Oh my gosh I remember my first time fighting this boss xD. I knew it was gonna come to life but I kept hoping that it wouldn't.

Must've been inspired by the Gashadokuro. Among other reasons, it atleast inspires dread in me.

Honestly I think he shares more features with the Dark Dragon, species wise anyway, from Oracle of Seasons. Big rib cage, long spine, long arms with clawed hands, large horns, both can breath orange fire balls, the twilight scimitar is where the gem on the Dark Dragon would be etc. And a member of that species would definitely warrant haven’t a secluded prison considering how dangerous they are. He doesn’t have to be the Dark Dragon himself, but his species seems way more likely as candidate then Volvagia’s.

I miss playing this game, I love challenging myself. Using the Ordan Sword to defeat the stallord (in the 2nd half) was worth the challenge.

Twilight Princess is the best Zelda game!! I hope BOTW 2 goes back to the dungeon style.
