I feel you. It is so hard to put into words what "Twin Peaks" means to me, how lucky I feel that I got to watch it, or how big an impact it had on me. Wonderful video!

I do wish Lynch valued story more than he apparently does. No one's perfect. It's still my favorite all time series though. And there's nothing necessarily wrong with shows emulating specific aspects of Twin Peaks. Lynch certainly drew specific inspirations from others' past work, while adding innovations of his own. Doing the latter too is what's important.

I credit Freddy's Dead of all things sowing the seeds of wanting to watch Twin Peaks. It gets mentioned in a line, and I loved all the Nightmare films as a kid. Surprised my dad didn't watch it. He watched X-Files, and he liked weird stuff. Must've come on at a time something else he liked came on. Maybe the first episode didn't appeal to him since it was soap opera-like.

Zach I'd love to watch this but I just finished the original series and Fire Walk with Me. I'm giving it some time before I watch The Return. Is this video The Return spoiler heavy?

Doesn't touch on the return at all. It's too big an entity that it'd deserve a separate video.
