@@Kpopzoom To be this certain about a reality only supported by fervent wishful thinking is to exist at a density that's almost bomb proof. It would be merely pathetic if it wasn't infuriating on behalf of those who died. And plenty did. You must be very isolated. And lonely.
Imagine the nightmares the guy that got stuck in the elevator has! The sheer terror of feeling the effects of the 2nd impact, and 1st collapse, while being stuck, ALONE, in a small box... then the randomness of the power going out, thus unlocking the elevator doors, THEN as soon as you step out of the building, down it comes, all around you!
L Coters Yeah, I thought our lives would forever be labeled as before & after 9/11, and he went into that elevator pre-9/11 & emerged in the post-9/11 world. What a hell of a mind f-- that is for survivors if they think of it. (I said “thought” because regardless of your political views, we now have this pre- and post-Trump world. You may like the post-Trump world, you may hate it, but it is a real thing. Many “norms” have changed & might not go back.
Imagine what was going through his mind. Trapped in an elevator assuming someone was on their way to help, once he was able to open the door and saw what he saw, clueless to what was going on. My heart will forever be with those people
Mariusz Kozłowski exactly! Especially when the building started collapsing right after he made it out of the elevator I would have thought the end of the world was here
this is my first time hearing about the elevator story... there are so many stories from this day with many aspects, they really get you thinking... wow... i've researched a lot about 9/11 and i never once considered the people stuck in the elevators... horrifying because they spent over an hour in there, not knowing what was going on and the poof their gone
There’s a movie out called 911 it’s with like Charlie Sheen and whoopie Goldberg’s it’s literally only about a set of people trapped in an elevator on 911 it’s a terrible movie I don’t recommend (it’s like a one time watch) but yeah it was pretty interesting just to see it from that perspective I mean those people were literally trapped and probably terrified and couldn’t get any information and I just can’t imagine per say if they like free-fell When that building collapsed. Ply one Of the most horrifying places to be that day… Not to mention if they were still alive at the end and hadn’t died of smoke inhalation
There was a group of people who got stuck on the 50ish floor, but one of the guys was a janitor and was able to use his tools to dig through the sheetrock walls. They then took a working elevator down and made it out alive
He walked into that elevator in the world he knew and lived every day. He came out of that elevator to a world in chaos that he didn't know. :( Like out of an episode of 'The Twilight Zone'.
Many of the elevators plummeted to the bottom of their shafts. The people inside died a quick death. Imagine the people that were trapped with smoke, jet fuel and fire on and around them unable to get out until the building collapsed. Pure hell!!
@@sandorbronn1661 the very next day. Truly amazing how they got the truck contracts up and running so quickly. ... and in doing so removed the evidence which was another crime.
This guy is so fkn lucky. Leaves top of building to escape Flight 11 by a couple minutes. Then is locked in for his own good when south tower collapses and then let go minutes before north tower collapses. Escaped all the big events by just minutes.
i will never forget this day, i watched it all from my appartment 4 blocks away... NYC used to feel like home when I was a kid (being a native new yorker) it hasnt since... :-(
It’s amazing to see that all around the world everyone watched in horror. I watched it all unfold on my tv, I was 8 years old and off school sick, here at home in the uk. It really pisses me off when the new generation says it’s fake and there was no planes. I watched it live, and saw the second plane hit.
There could've been planes, could've been missiles lookin like planes, could have been bombs in the building that helped the planes bring the buildings down. We don't know what it was exactly that brought them down, but all we know is that the official story is bullshit
@@catmother1989 It's actually not uncommon Janice, for buildings of that height to have very slight movements in response to the wind - it doesn't make them any less sturdy, but if you search RU-vid for some stuff like "Dubai building shaking", you'll see what I mean. There are apartments in Dubai and other parts of the world that experience these tremors too. I've felt them myself. So yep, you weren't crazy at all, just perceptive.
...except he wasn't the only one. No mistaking it, he is one lucky guy that's for sure, but others did escape their elevators as well, and here is some proof. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MJgoDYeP0Jk.html If you have never seen this doc, it is a very unique journey though a major world event and a MUST watch if you are interested in the attacks.
One of my children’s teachers in elementary school lost her brother on 9/11 in the elevator. I believe he was in the second tower hit. He was originally from Sulphur,Louisiana, where she is from and still lives. That broke my heart. Our boys also played ball together. Her brother was one of the 300 recovered and able to have a proper burial though. 😢
@crocs thats a really big space in relation *oh yeah my sister's friend's ex-fiance's brother's uber driver's dad's friend's teacher's shoe store salesman's butcher's co-worker's uncle got mildly touched by the dust on 9/11 and got a bruise*
They were beautiful, wish they were still here. Should have built them exactly the same as before but with two huge middle fingers on top of each tower
no. it's ridiculous how people think they should have rebuilt them. you do realize those two towers are constant reminders of pure horror? rebuilding them would be an insult.
The Sears Tower in Chicago used double deck elevators instead of single deck like in the WTC. Double decking enables a single shaftway to have more express elevators instead using sky lobbies.
those are called door restricters and they are sup[posed to deter people from opening the doors when the elevator is outside of the door zone and falling down the shaft.
Did anyone else play SimTower, the game, back in the mid 90s ? I remember having to use the "sky lobby" concept, for the exact reason the guy at the start explains. That was a very cool game.
Man, I know its 2019 rn, but this is still a massive impact on American History, and it was a great loss. RIP for the people who have lost their lives to this destruction. At least some people managed to get out with the elevator system they had.
was a very sad day,a lot of people never got to go home.but they will never be forgotten.to all of those who perished on that fatefull day, rest in peace.
Lots of comments about this guy surviving twice by a minute each. True! But factor in how he’s even more lucky the elevator even opened......1 foot off the lobby! Take this guy to Vegas. You are guaranteed to win!
Man all that hard work they put effort on those towers are gone. Rest In Peace to all the hero’s and the people who lost their lives that year.New York sure did change after 9/11. God bless everyone ✨✨💖💖💖✨✨✨ 1973-2001 (Twin Towers)
M Fitz we do know who did them, it was Al-Qaeda, and they got their ideology from the religion created by a 7th century warmonger named Muhammad and his teachings which are complied in the Quran and Hadiths.
@@GreekOrthodox7 No we don't know, the al Qaeda conspiracy spun by the government has zero solid evidence behind it. I thought everyone know this by now? Haven't you ever looked for actual evidence? Taking the word of that lying administration would be odd
@MTG Zombie Don't attack me sunshine, attack the fact. That you bought a conspiracy theory spun by known liars isn't my fault. Tell you what, find me a 2 out of the 19 alleged hijackers on time stamped footage at any of the 3 airports on Sept 11 and I'll admit there may be something to the conspiracy. Show me when the FBI put the 9/11 attacks on bin ladens most wanted poster (they didn't because they said they have no evidence he was involved), find me when any terrorist organization publicly announced its responsibility for the most successful "terrorist" attack in history.. Can you do any of these?
Just visited New York City yesterday for the first time in my life. I’m 22 years old. Wow that city is so complex. I’m from Maryland and I thought Baltimore was hard to navigate. New York City takes that to the next level. Couldn’t imagine trying to evacuate that city when this happened. Wish I saw it before the attacks. I would be to young to remember. In 2001 I was 4 years old.
M5 to M1 John, your voice was the last thing I heard over the radio that crazy day. Asking when we could go back in and start getting people out of the elevators. Just like we did in 93' And it was minutes after that B tower came down. I miss all the trades and freinds we lost down there. And the everyday people that we shared small conversations with it. Who we once nu. F... Matt Lauer
Brilliant designing & engineering. This was nothing short of miraculous!!!! The real terrorists I'm afraid got away with their part in these attacks. God bless those that persished into this horrendous attack.🙏🏻😞😓
In the 9/11 documentary, The New Pearl Harbor, a lot of people who were under the impact zone stated the other floors appeared perfectly fine & it was hard to even notice anything had happened other than the building swaying. And even though it is in fact standard protocol to keep people in the elevator during an emergency stop like that, I can't help but be reminded of the 2 publicly recorded phone calls of the man & woman above the strikezone. Forgive me I forget their names atm. But during their 911 calls the operators also told them to remain where they were while they were being burned alive.
@@j_gibbon I never said they were in an elevator. I said the situation reminded me of the 2 911 calls that were made public. One being Kevin Cosgrove, yes, & the other was a woman.
@12weasel100 Well.. Lol. First of all, calling something a pile of shit doesn't make it false. Or.. really add anything at all. The witnesses I'm referring to in The New Pearl Harbor that claimed the floors were okay just a few floors down were actual Firemen that had made it out of the tower. Their live testimonials are in that documentary btw so I have no need to prove anything myself. The only floor I'm aware of that was beyond comprehension, other than where the planes hit, was the 1st floor lobby that was almost completely decimated. And idk where u get off making all these strange claims of things I would never even come close to suggesting. I only found it similar that the people in the elevator & the people above the impact zone were told to 'remain where they were'. I didn't suggest anything close to what you're saying. And being that the documentary I'm mentioning is a 3 DVD 5 hr critical analysis of the attack, I highly doubt you watched it anyway. Because if you did you wouldn't be calling it that. Unless you're deluded.
Modern skyscapers are usually just a concrete core plus steel frame covered in minimal materials. The windows and outer facades are not armor plated. The building can only bear a calculated weight limit designed by the engineers. The planes basically broke into smaller pieces which smashed into the interior of the buildings. The two towers stood for hours after the attack, allowing thousands of people to escape. Remember those planes were fully fueled. The intense heat from the jet fuel weakened the supports, then gravity took over and collapsed the whole thing. When tons of material fell down thousands of feet, the momentum was unstoppable and the force was so much that a great portion of the buildings were pulverized.
@@davepowell7168 I also recommend the Purdue study that was done in conjunction with the society of civil engineers. I was also a college student in Brooklyn at the time, attending a school that has one of the most prestigious architectural programs in the nation. The dept gave a great presentation as to how and why the towers fell.
@@johne540 ldeally l would like to hear a presentation from the alleged structural engineer who surfed down from the 22nd floor landing on crater edge and question one of the other survivors who walked away face to face. 3 almost symmetrical collapses following 2 asymmetric planestrikes is not plausible without 'preparation'.
It was a whole new world when it collapsed with dust paper and more stuff all over the New York City area RIP all the people who lost their lives on that day
@@caseyschaefer4557 I totally agree I'm 36 now. Had my boy in 02 I brought him up loving grudge, hard rock ya know all that from the 90's early 2000's and he's got a good head on his shoulders. Listen though when 2012 came around does it feel to you like the whole world went to shit even worse? Like the earth itself seems off ANF not right. I probably sound crazy but that's how I feel
The man's explanation was slightly confusing, but to clarify, you only had to board two elevators to get to your destination, no matter what floor you were on (unless an express elevator was out of order or something). There were different express elevators that ended at different sky lobbies. If you were on a floor beyond 78, you could take one express elevator to take you to that floor, straight from the lobby, and then board another to take you to your floor.
I have never heard whether the Towers had an evacuation plan. I would bet they didn't. I would also bet that if they had one, many more people would have survived. I have to wonder how many large buildings have evacuation plans.
...THE TOWERS HAD EVACUATION PLANS AND DRILLS QUITE FREQUENTLY.. I THINK THEY HAD A DRILL JUST WEEKS BEFORE 9-11... **THESE DUMBASS PEOPLE WHO ARE NON BELIEVERS AND SAY 9-11 NEVER HAPPENED,, ARE TOTAL MORONS, PERIOD! ** THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ESCAPED FROM THE TOWERS THAT DAY, ( EVACUATED) , THANK GOD, ....**ONLY DUMBASSES ARE DENIERS**
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. No evacuation plan would've made a difference that day. Either you could get to the stairwell or you couldn't. Some of the doors in the offices of the twin towers got jammed when the plane hit. Some people were able to overcome that obstacle. Some weren't.
There were explosions on the sub floors on that day I could hear them on some of the recorded videos. Remember what happened to the people down there and to the lobby? So weird that when the fire fighters first entered the buildings the lobbys looked like a tornado had ripped through them and they were stepping over bodys all over the place. How'd that happen from a fire 80 floors above?
@jimmyfly jet fuel exploded immediately on impact and had an extremely fast burn off.. No jet fuel even made it three floors down. Firefighters corroborate this fact by saying we would have seen smoke pouring out windows on many floors if that were the case.
@jimmyfly he may have smelled many things. Read the accounts of some of janitorial crew who saw people on fire in the sub floors. Like I said, jet fuel would explode on impact like it always does when a jet liner crashes.
@jimmyfly so they smelled kerosene....ok I didn't dispute that and the plane being broken up on impact , I didn't dispute that either so you dont believe actual videos where you can hear for yourself explosions on or under floor level? How is this a conspiracy? Go watch it for yourself. Lookup what many firefighters said. And watch the videos where you can hear the explosions for yourself. Conspiracy-SMH 🤦♂️
@jimmyfly rrrriiiight It's interesting how some people buy all of it hook, line and sinker. The event has changed our country for the worst. Not only have we allowed them to turn our country into a surveillance state but the US has killed over a million people all due to this event which is really the most disturbing thing and good innocent people die everyday to this day because of it. Yet the perpetrators will never be brought to justice.

99 in each, imagine that each one has it's own motor and controller, that's 99 motors that had to be maintained, greased, oiled, adjusted, it would have taken a full time guy to maintain all of them!
@@dog-in7fh There were 99 in each tower. The image he showed was of the 1 side view. Turn it a 90 and it is a row of elevators. Think of like 5 elevators in a row going to the sky lobbies. As GregDFE pointed out, that time stamp provides a better view.
That’s so tragic to see. I’m kinda grieving for this and also a lot of bad stuff that happened to me this year in September. I lost my girlfriend that I thought was my true love in 2019. First girlfriend ever. She was so unstable had schizoeffective. I tried my very best to keep her stable but she had to stop dating me. Kept her out of the hospital for 8 months straight. I just felt so sad sick couldn’t sleep for days. Broke up sep 8th 2019 just the following bad days wound up to 9 11 and Friday the 13th. Worst days of my life in one month. Just a month from hell it seemed. I felt so broken sad lost hopeless. Coincidence with the tragic terrorist attack leading to my sadness this month.
Only time and the belief that everything happens for a profound reason will ease your pain, will make it feel less immediate and soul crushing. My heart goes out to you and so do my prayers and best wishes. I've been there and wouldn't want your pain given to my worst enemy. It took a long time but now I see how necessary it was in a grander scheme. It's cliche but it's true. Trust this aching space will be filled with a greater bond and you will learn from this pain. Some power so much greater than ours made you, me, her, and everything between. All of it based in infinite compassion and pure love. It will return your happieness, peace of mind and desire to live a thousand fold. Just please be patient and trusting as impossible as this sounds. Love always comes again purified by loss and pain. When it does you'll see it with new deep eyes of great gratitude to have lived to embrace it. Do not despair. Just wait and watch carefully.
My God! Talk about luck! In a twist of fate, if the South tower hadn't collapsed and released the elevator doors, he would have died! And then to also be lucky enough to have the doors open onto a floor and not onto a brick wall! It's just so unfortunate that there were still so many people in the South tower when it collapsed and in the North one too when that collapsed shortly afterwards. 😔
I was living in Manhattan when the World Trade Center opened and rode up to the observation area that day (1975?) with my girlfriend. Just before the buildings were opened to the public there was an article in The New York Times regarding the fireproofing of the red iron I beams and how it was never done. The building inspectors had signed off on the process and the fireproofing contractor hadn't ever been on the site. It was a huge scandal and it was everywhere in the news for a couple of days and then the story just disappeared like it had never been reported. I always wondered what the outcome of that was. Years later when the buildings came down and I saw the frightful images that morning on TV from my home in Raleigh, North Carolina my thoughts went back to that story in the Times and I wondered why of all the buildings in New York that didn't get that treatment it was the very ones that would be attacked and would burn and collapse. At that time it didn't occur to me that it might be a provolcation, but now, what with all the many conspiracy theories that surround that event it makes me wonder. I don't support most conspiracy theories but I know that conspiracies have existed. I tend to dismiss 90% of them, but I've always believed that if only 10% of them were based in fact we're still in deep trouble as a country depending on which ones they were that were true. I've heard the ones about the jets being painted to look like passenger airliners that were actually military planes, the ones that say the Saudis were permitted by the government to carry out their plan because it suited the government's purpose in introducing the first domestic anti- terrorist legislation, but in all the theories I've heard over the years I've never heard anyone site this aforementioned article that would probably support the position that this horrific thing that changed our lives and curtailed many of the rights that we've enjoyed since the beginning was deliberately done to do just that. I couldn't say that if the superstructure of those buildings were fireproofed they wouldn't have come down, but it really does make me wonder what's going on.
Absolute garbage. It was full of asbestos. hence the reason why they could not afford to maintain the building. Another point, why do you think all those first responders have died through asbestosis? You really are a silly and pathetic government shill. Grow up you morally bankrupt fool
Charged metal makes electric heat. For elevator generators and the generators themselves. Depending on the conc. Who was the last one officially let out or logged out?
WTC was a massive architectural clusterfuck. Interned there in 1998-99 and didn't like it at all. Hated it. Got lost a lot and felt boxed in at the office. 62nd floor of the North Tower at Morgan Stanley. As far as I know, everyone there got out on 9/11.
@MTG Zombie you also have to remember all the paper and the copy machine ink and the drywall and computers and just everything that was set on fire all just burning in this massive destructive inferno that would have eventually, softened a couple of beams. A couple of beams is all it takes.
The elevator shaft that he was in was not damaged from the impact. If it was impacted, then the elevator cables would break and the elevator would of most likely fallen onto the emergency buffer below the basement before the safety brakes deployed. The car would of been destroyed by debris falling down the shaft.
TheScottishDan , my own belief is that Jesus was born on 9/11 , 11 being a number that represents God and Jesus. God watching all his children suffer on a day that’s supposed to be special.
We always hear about how nothing was the same after 9/11 and how the world became a different place. Im failing to understand what about the world has really changed as a result of 9/11. Nothing that isnt aviation related has changed and The changes that did take place were in America. Not the world.
My gf says: The problem for ACE was that due to the multiple repeated EXPLOSIONS going off inside the building, they followed the usual protocol in a Bombing. Which is go outside, then when bomb squad etc. are done, go back in. Because they try and deny there were multiple explosions (multiple interviews with police and fire fighters confirm this) Likely, just like many other trades etc. like firefighters, iron workers, the elevator mechanics from ACE were experienced with steel, buildings, and physics. They obviously saw things that day that were impossible to happen without there being more than just a plane hitting the building. I expect the same people that put the pressure on FDNY and cops to back the official story also pressured the iron workers and elevator mechanics of ACE. Tradesmen in unions with retirement packages they have worked their whole lives for and health benefits they couldn't get anywhere else can be pressured. To their credit, ACE did not lie or say it believed the official story, though - they answered "The mechanics had a set protocol to follow and they followed it". They kept quiet this whole time and hoped people would figure it out for themselves that the bomb protocol was the reason they "left"; perfectly in keeping with explosions to wait outside til cleared by bomb squad. It must have sucked for them having everyone think they were so callous like they ran away, when it is because they can't say about explosions. I thought the same thing and was bugged by it a lot cause elevator mechanics that I know and know of are all real extra mile help in an emergency, salt of the earth kinds of guys. And strong and smart too. Can you guess my long time bf is one here in SoCAl? Well, he pointed that out to me when I asked how come ACE did this when elevator men are usually the opposite of cowards or followers or whatever the opposite of hero is. But he pointed out that with bombs going off, they were not running away - no one is expected to go where bombs are and rescue people. Further, he pointed out that - look, no person who works in construction thought even for one split second "I wonder if the towers will fall if they burn for one hour, after all, they are made of concrete and steel".. No, just as you don't wonder if your dog is going to start floating because gravity no longer had its usual effects - same thing. So they thought, we will wait outside like before in 1993 and when cleared we will go back in. And that is the theory from socal gf of elevator mechanic.
@MTG Zombie How about the firefighters talking about massive explosions? When one of them says "you don't understand, any one of these buildings could blow up, it ain't over" or were they just making things up?
@MTG Zombie "this is typical truther tactics", well what is a "truther", be very specific. And no these firefighters arent saying "as if" there saying "huge fucking explosion", ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nWDo0b9zId8.html you may now apologize for being wrong.
"multiple repeated EXPLOSIONS going off inside the building" LOTS of things cause explosions! including main breaker panels for machinery shorting out 440 or 600 volts because something smashed the box, natural gas in pipelines that are broken will explode, so will things like oxygen tanks and other pressurized tanks, chemicals, solvents and other stuff kept or stored in mechanical rooms Here's what happens when you short of 3 phase power lines in such a box; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--iClXrd50Z8.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6hpE5LYj-CY.html

Imagine being in an elevator and getting. Then you start thinking to yourself that if you had stayed in that elevator for one more minute that would’ve been your last moment in life.
@@ericsopanen there has only been 3 buildings that have "collapsed" in the entire history of the world of a fire. One was building 7, the other two were the twin towers.. you really think building seven fell down because "Some papers" flew into the windows from the twin towers which caused a fire hot enough to bring down an entire building...Twin towers were made up of 200,000 tons of steel, 425,000 cubic feet of concrete. And you think 10,000 gallons of jet fuel brought down both towers. Not to mention is it scientifically impossible for the plane to be burned up at the pentagon titanium burns at 1,688 degree's, jet fuel in a pure, oxygen environment will only burn MAX 1,000 degree's.
Well you’re wrong on a couple of points. Ok well all of them really. So let’s take a look. Google McCormick Center Chicago fire. It was a steel frame building using steel and concrete. Not multistory even, it was used as a convention center. It was being used at the time for a home products convention. There was no jet fuel, just home products. Anyway a fire started, the fire suppression system was compromised, it burned for hours and collapsed from the steel weakening in the fire. It didn’t have 45 stories pushing down on it either which would have been worse. And if you think it was “a few papers fling in the window” that started the fire that’s even better. I think there may have been some burning plane parts and building parts involved. As far as no pentagon plane, you would then expect me to believe that a missile was fired into the pentagon from who knows where, with thousands of eyewitnesses present, then truck in a bunch of burning plane parts, and the passengers’ bodies and parts, truck them in too since they would have already been killed elsewhere and mutilated too, then spread all that around the pentagon quick before anyone notices? You gotta dig a little deeper man.
As far as jet fuel temp, do you know how hot it gets in a jet engine combustion chamber? Try 3000 degrees Fahrenheit. They have to use special alloys to keep the thing from yes melting. Just air and jet fuel in there, nothing else. We know that wood ignites at 451 deg F. Why then does a forest fire typically burn at 1500 F? Not even pressurized. There was a LOT more than jet fuel there to burn. An entire skyscraper full of flammable materials. It was just the starter. I’m sure it didn’t take too long to burn off.
