Thump 272 I’ll take the 6th gen camaro over the 5th any day but hey that’s just me and yes I agree, the new design of the front end camaros looks disgusting. The 2016’s-2017’s just look better.
I've got a cammed 5th gen Camaro, and have been looking for a car that can show me what my car might sound like when I do turbo charge it (my next upgrade). This is the closest video I've found to help me hear my car turbo charged, and man does this sound amazing. My car also has a COI and is straight piped, with a cat delete, and a corsa extreme dual exhaust as well, so I can't wait to hear what it will sound like under boost. This car sounds amazing, and looks like a great time too.
AutotopiaLA pretty much??? it’s not a ZL1 it’s a SS with ZL1 hood, bumpers, spoilers and ground fxs. It still has 4 piston brembos in front and says SS on the headrests. I would assume probably still has the ss rear end and suspension as well...so no it’s not pretty much a ZL1.
ZL1 also have a S/C. SS don't. I still take an SS. I have one and the motor/trans/suspension basically everything is stock. Except. The only thing that's different is the exhaust with a X pipe. No muffler. I love it especially with a LS3 you can easily make the RPM go up around 4000. Let go of the gas and hear *Pop pop pop pop*
Hey man I’ve been wanting to twin turbo my V6 Camaro and I saw this build in just wondering what Turbo s did you use and what is the name of the kit. I’ve been doing research and can’t find anything on working products. They are seemingly unfindable in todays age. Thanks for your time.
2011 ss Camaro stock (going turbo this year) Question 🙋♂️: big power? On a twin turbo setup at 600whp wouldn’t that be more on the conservative side? I feel with all the work done, that’s very low in what it can produce
What does a light flywheel have anything to do with an idle? lol the only drawback a lighter weight flywheel has, is that it is faster to lose RPM in between shifts. At idle, the flywheel's mass or lack thereof is doing absolutely nothing. If you're talking about idle quality - that has everything to do with the cam and tune.
@@rotor13 It absolutely effects idle quality and low rev driving even with mild builds. That is exactly why manufacture use fairly heavy flywheels. That that is the purpose of a flywheel. It's stores energy between power pulses to help smooth out power delivery. I went form a 19lb to 8.6lb, it was basically undrivable under 3000 in 1st and around 2500 in 2nd, compromised with 11.6lbs. I don't have a cam and run stock ports so my engine purrs at the stock idle speed of 850 rpm. Lightweight flywheels will also increase your 1/4 mile times unless you are doing no lift shifts because of the loss of momentum.
If he did the internals, why wasn’t the fuel system upgraded? Granted, 600+ at the wheels should be enjoyable and keeps the car semi problem free and reliable.
Christopher Sotier Great work by the way, and I’m certain with the fuel system upgrade you will be at 1000HP easy. I will however say, that’s going to drastically increase your wear on your engine and drastically shorten your service interval time.
@@christophersotier5999 Bruh something really off 600 + hp on twin turbo ? I have 2015 lS3 camaro and I still have bottom end stock only top internals magnusum super charger and I am 705 RWHP on 93 and now I am going E85 my tuner I can be easy in the 760 hp Stage 2 cam 1300 injectors Boosted pump PCR heads All bolt ons Upper internals Drag radials I have a video of my set up and how it sound and several videos of me racing cars I just one this past Monday racing an GTR I gap him hard haven't upload yet cause I need more content so I can make one full video
This has got to be the sickest got to be the nastiest Camaro I’ve seen/heard. How harsh is a twin turbo on a engine? Anybody ever own a twin turbo and used it as a DD? ☮️
Heh, heh. You question whether he has a cam. What self respecting red blooded American male wouldn’t have a cam in a cross plane 2 valve?? Come on now!! Awesome build, sounds awesome. 👍💪🦅🇺🇸
Where does that kid work I'm 33 and have a hard enough time just paying the payment on my 15SS and just had to buy tires at 100$ ea i see dollars flying when I hear them chirp lol
Jake Browne Bro you ain’t gotta lie i have literally the cheapest tires I could find anywhere on my car, theyre Big O non brand tires Matter of fact they don’t even really fit the rims theyre stretched on there fuckboi style, four tires mounted and balanced was almost $800... Aint no 100 dollar tires anywhere that even kinda fit. Maybe you’re confused and you actually have a Nissan Sentra or some shit
Jake Browne it’s all good I just knew there had to be more to the story LOL I specifically found the cheapest shittiest tires I could because I slide my car a lot and I melted two sets off the rear already my shit isn’t even an SS though it’s the V-6 have a good one man
$12k to make an extra 200hp? You got seriously shafted on this build. If you gave a reputable builder/tuner an LS3 Camaro and $12k, you would have a 900hp car.
Agreed. Just for reference a fbo with cam puts down 510-530 to the wheels total cost maybe 3k for all that. So for him to have twin turbo and only be making not even 100whp more from that 3k is ridiculous. He should be in the 700-800 range with the money he spent. Edit: I read in the comments he needs upgraded fuel system to reach those levels
Shaun, no offense but only 600Whp out of built 6.2L TT Ls3?? That doesn’t add up.. screw 9psi! That thing needs to be turned up to 23psi.. that’s were he will see 1000Wheel hp
Maybe you should pay attention a little more. You would have heard the owner say power is limited as its on the stock fuel system and in the comments here he said its next on the list and should put down about 900 with a retune with more boost.
