The Camaro couldn't run E85 to break into the 480WHP range (Maxed Injectors) but once thats fixed definitely will be hitting the dyno again! Hope you guys enjoyed!
Turbros Garage my tuner told me u can run a set of lsa/zl1 injectors for e85 since i have the same set up on my car also seen gpi do it on their built ls3 what exhaust set up on the car?
I've seen 70s camaros that literally make the concrete shake in idle let alone revving it. New muscle cars now are a joke and not even half as loud as old american muscle
I’m at 518 rwhp in my 2010 with my BTR Stage 4 Cam and a ton of other mods (naturally aspirated). I have straight pipes as well. My Camaro has always been freakishly fast... I LOVE the straight pipes and when cops are around I don’t get a second look. Mainly because I drive nice and easy... I use the 102mm LSXR F.A.S.T Intake Manifold, as I say, plus many other mods. Excellent tuner...
Dam, that car is loud!!! Like you could drive it on some weekends in the summer loud and even then you're gonna have a hard time hearing what the cops saying😁
I was just over at Ragin Racin Saturday getting my c6 dyno'd. I have a 402 stroker in it with long tubes, X pipe, and no mufflers car absolutely screams. I've been seeing cars with that wicked motorsports sticker all over lafayette. Had a few mustangs come into the shop with it on their windshield. Badass cars good to see cars like these in Lafayette!
Sounds like straight pipe and yeah straight pipe 500 hp will be loud., he can put mufflers and resonator and not lose too much power.. that car is over 600hp at the crank
I know that place, it’s the Sportsman’s Paradise. I’m in Shreveport-Bossier. I have a 14 Spring Edition SS L99, 94 Z28 LT1, 85 Z28 SBC. Nothing quite as mean as this red one though, what a killer ride. 337 is Monroe I believe
I just had built a ls2 bored .065 over with 11.1 wiseco pistons ls3 275cc brodix heads bullet cam .650 lift 112 lsa 232 242 msd atomizer intake 1 7/8 headers 2400 stall to dual super 10s. Making 600hp to flywheel.
that sounds crazy how can you gain almost 30hp with different fuel? why is E85 so special over V power? i have just bought an SS 2015 and learning about it.
@@averagejoe6468 I owned a TR-6060 LS3 and if I get back to a 5th gen I'll probably go 6L80 as well. Primary reason is I wanted to drag race and launching with a stick is much harder than running an auto down the track. The 6L80's handle power well too if you want to go big power adders. The TR-6060 will need a clutch, better throwout bearings, and much stronger half shafts.
OPEC no ohh okay got it. I’m barely getting into the car modding scene. And there are many things I don’t know but wanting to know. Do you know how much power the stock tranny in an auto can handle?
i have just bought an SS 2015 and this is also my first us car (im from sweden) whats all this talk about E85 and HP gain? i thought V power was the best fuel to use.
So the L99 and LS3 are the same 6.2L engine. The small difference is the LS3 is mated to the 6 speed manual. The L99 is the automatic version. So, unless you manual swapped this car it is still considered the L99 code.
No, very similar though. The L99 is based on the LS3. The L99 has variable valve timing (via oil controlled cam phaser) and AFM (The AFM Lifters are the weak point in the L99) from the factory. L99 has slightly lower compression via valve reliefs in the pistons at 10.3:1 while the LS3 has flat tops and 10.7:1. The LS3 also has hollow stem intake valves for a lighter valvetrain and higher redline. The L99 also has a slightly lower lift camshaft than the LS3. Once tuned, the L99 is a monster and is neck and neck with the LS3 as AFM is usually tuned out and the TCM is tuned for substantially faster/stronger shifts than the factory program. A common mod when installing a cam in the L99 is to delete AFM and keep VVT or to instead have an LS3 conversion done, deleting VVT as well. The LS3 is factory rated at 426bhp and the L99 is 400bhp. Once cammed/heads w/bolt ons both with get close to or over 500rwhp with the LS3 still making more due to less parasitic drivetrain loss from the TR6060 vs the 6L80e.
@@InFiD3ViL1 I have a L99 and thinking of converting to Ls3. Is it worth doing or would it be best to leave it how it is? I plan on getting a cai, tune, headers, and a cam.
That 300z made less power than i expected. Cant let the turbro tahoe lose to that again. Time to start spraying it untill a rod comes thru the block. For all we kno those old vortec smallblocks might be stout as hell and u guys are among some of the only exploring that area.
Short answer, you cant. If your rear quarters are dented you only have 2 options. Cheap or expensive. Cheap: go to body shop and tell them specifically to pull the dent out as best add possible and use as little body filler as possible. Expensive: cut out the old rear quarter, weld in a new donor quarter panel of a junked donor car. The problem is finding a donor car and a body shop willing to put the work in. I speak from experience having had to rebuild my 2010 SS last year.
Agreed. I was thinking max like 480whp. Only stick shift LS3 cars with larger cams are barely breaking that 500whp mark being "cammed only". Tho not really cammed only cuz supporting mods have to count for something right lol 😂😂😂 I was looking at the Kaotic cam myself cuz I'm wanting to break 500whp na. Tho not a 5th gen. Its a 4th gen. And shortblock is LS2. Heads are 821s that I will be porting and the factory LS3 i take manifold will be getting a "touch up". Curious to see how much of a handicap being .2L less will put me at vs 6.2L
Turbros Garage maybe you’ll be able to put me on the map lol. But all seriousness tho, just let me know well enough in advanced and I’ll make the trip or vice versa
Turbros Garage ok man we def gotta setup something up man, I'll send u some vids of my terminator, cobra jet 5.0, an my lightning...great content by the way...here is a vid of my 5.0 vs. gt500 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--9FDsKWS9y0.html

Thats where I am confused... l99 is ls3.. which is an engine that can handle 1000 horse. Unless it was poorly taken care of and abused, I dont see how it blew unless otherwise. I've had mine for 3 years and run it super hard, but I make sure my PMs are on point. And it still runs like new.
