I have had Twinkly 4 chains (Special Edition RGBW) of the 2nd generation and the USB music stick for 3 years. The chains are really beautiful. Only the Android app is absolutely useless and complete crap. Starting the app takes up to 30 seconds and then it has to compile the effects for the selected chain. This happens every time you switch to a different chain. The 2D mapping works rather badly than well and the 3D mapping, as well as access to the effect store, doesn't work at all, since there is supposedly no internet available. However, the chains can only be controlled via the app if you are connected to the compulsory account via the Internet. The app carries out a real inventory of the entire network in which it is logged in and taps all IP addresses of the router via UDP port 5556. And this happens constantly every second and consumes a lot of data volume and battery power of the mobile phone. The USB music stick only produces a nervous flickering of the chains and is absolutely useless. The chains cannot represent a clean color, e.g. with white you always see some other colors flashing in between. Inquiries to customer service come to nothing at Twinkly and are not answered. To top it off, since the penultimate update, I've also received advertising in the app, even though I spent around €700 more on the necklaces and the USB music stick. Therefore Twinkly is the last garbage for me and I will switch to another LED system.
I gonna say it but that is the most pitiful looking tree ive ever seen My 8-foot tree has more branches on it than this entire tree has. And the half foot gaps between each row, whats up with that?
@@MK-Tech I mean don't get me wrong looks nice and all but "sparse" trees make no sense to me. Although I will recommend getting another set and double the amount of lights you have. Twinkly recommends that you use 3 times the normal amount of lights (traditionally it is 100 bulbs for every foot) that is recommended so you should have a minimum of 300 leds for every foot of tree
@@Brad.W wow. 300 a foot!? That's insane. Shouldn't these be plenty bright? Not too mention expensive. I don't see why these would require more, other than 'looks cooler ' . I had 2,200 for my 9.5 ft tree. Was gonna do 600 twinklys and a 200 cheapie to fill it out. That's officially out the window!! 😆
