You'll probably never see this, but in the book Spirit Babies, miscarriage before twin pregnancy is a common phenomenon. The spirit of the unborn baby wasn't ready to enter into the world and needed his/her brother/sister to come too! What a blessing!! Congratulations!

You guys really never heard of babies that were expected to be one gender and then ended up being another than what was expected after being born? I know a lot of families that expected one gender and then got the other, so I just assumed that was a commonly known possibility. Fun little personal story: My mom was pregnant at the same time as our neighbor and they had their babies a month apart. My mom was told she was having a girl but ended up delivering a boy and our neighbor was expecting a boy but gave birth to a girl. My mom and our neighbor just ended up trading all their boy and girl items with each other, and that's how they became best friends! 15 years later and the babies are still like brother and sister too. Kinda funny how that happened and lucky they could switch their stuff with each other and still be set since obviously both of them prepared but neither knew that they both prepared for the wrong gender until after they each gave birth lol. Congratulations to you guys!!

Congratulations! I'm a twin mom to boys who just turned 17! Twins are the best blessings ever!! I'll pass on the best advice I got when pregnant- keep them on the same schedule. When one of them wakes up, wake the other one up and change and feed them both. I'm going to be honest, it's really hard the first few weeks, but if you stick to it by the time they are two months old it is so easy for everyone.

Before I watched, I would've guessed boy/boy... But, I was happily surprised! Congratulations you guys! What a wonderful surprise! Can't wait to see them! Twin life is gonna suit you guys well. (i won't lie, it's hard though! I'm a mama of identical twin boys.) Let me give you my best twin advice, it was given to me by a mama of twins. Feed them at the same time, change them at the same time, get them on the same schedule or you'll never be able to sleep! It was the BEST advice I ever received about having twins. Hope it helps you guys too!

That is pretty cool that they could determine male/female in the genetics test. I had me twins 4 years ago and they told me I couldn’t do that. We didn’t do genetic testing and we had two girls so it wouldn’t have worked anyways but that is really cool how far testing has come in 4 years. Congratulations on your babies. Twins are a blessing. Welcome to the club. BTW there are clubs for twin parents that are helpful or at least I found them helpful my club has zoom meeting right now since we can’t get together.

Being pregnant w twins is such a blessing u do u just cry all the time. Wait til they are born...mine held hands from the minute they came out of the womb til they could start moving...even when they were sleeping. 4 yrs old still have to touch when sleeping. Y’all are so cute with this reveal! To clarify, Ultrasound is only a visual assessment of the gender. No DNA-that comes from an amniocentesis, and yes Arie, if you have chromosomes to evaluate, the babies would exhibit definitive XX or XY. The ultasound is only predictive because you’re only assessing the anatomy-the babies must cooperate and then if the umbilical cord gets in the right spot, it can look like a penis. Based on the ultrasound images you showed, I don’t think that was an umbilical cord you saw! I would agree, that most likely you have at least one boy! Usually these ultrasound techs are very good with predicting gender. Congratulations! (Disclaimer: I’m a pediatrician and although I’m decent at looking at ultrasounds, the techs are more skilled).
