Hi Marty, Thanks for the video! I just built my Twin Star and I have a problem. The motors are on independent ESCs but only 1 battery. I have no BEC on 1 of the ESCs. The motors do not power up evenly as one motor is a lot slower than the other. I am using two Next Level 40 amp ESCs that I had on hand and 2 400 sport motors from Heads Up hobbies. The motors and ESCs are identical. We are drawing 15.3 amps total on a 2200 MaH battery. Is it possible to use two ESCs connected to a "Y" connector for power? Do I have to 'split' them on different channels? Thanks, Ron
Ronald Torrito hello Ronald. My 2200 is connected through a Y connector to each of the ESCs. Both ESCs have BECs connected to separate channels. I have not bothered to set up differential thrust. I had planned to, but I don't see any need. I don't see why you couldn't connect the BECs through a Y connector, but you need both of them.
Hi Marty, Thank you for your reply. I have connected both of the ESCs to a common 2200 MaH battery using a "Y" battery connector. One of the Next Level ESCs has problem that caused the failure. I switched to Suppo ESCs and the problem is gone! Lesson learned! Thank you for your help! Ron
