I don't know how I managed to do it with minimal restarts compared to the other vehicles I've done so far. Spectre is not my type of explosive ride, although I do like the way he handles, and his speed. You'll keep hearing me criticize my time throughout the video, but I'd disregard that because this time is apparently good for this kinda vehicle. I will most likely never touch this vehicle ever again, and if I were in charge of modifying his special I'd make it slightly more homing than a fire missle, and 1.3x faster. No random zig-zag jank bullshit.
Los Angeles:
Meh. It's all down to the AI getting in the corners of the map to take advantage of the remote bomb trick.
Moscow:
Spectre is one of those vehicles where it's almost mandatory to bring 2 remote bombs. His nimble moves doesn't make up for the crapshoot that this arena is. Why is the item spawner destructable SingleTrac?
Paris:
Oof. Good enough I suppose.
Amazonia:
Actually wasn't that bad with this guy although I could've got the remote bombs faster.
New York:
AI shenanigans and me not paying attention cost me a good 30sec. This map is very good for Spectre IMO. He's fast enough to steal the ricochet's from your opponents, and his disorienting special allows you to perch yourself at a safe distance.
Antarctica:
Solid. No complaints here.
Holland:
Pure luck, due to the fact that the Health respawn AI were generous to me. As much as I curse you at times, I appreciate the random help.
Hong Kong:
Spectre is just a slow killer. He's so damn nimble though, so running around the sewer ramp sections was actually pretty fun.
Dark Tooth:
Eh...I survived with this crackhead vehicle so it's good enough. It's really funny how the biggest vehicle in the game is weak up close if you have the right weapons.

Happy to see these Twisted Metal gameplays, I remember to play with Spectre as the driver looks the most sane of all of these characters in Twisted Metal 2 along Twister.

@@mr.bp-dcbg yeah, probably in contrast to Twisted Metal 1 where was more diversity of the "hero character" (as Outlaw, Road Kill, Crimson Fury, Warthog, Pit Viper), in 2 the characters are more "weirdos" or creepy ones in a little extreme way. Roadkill (Homeless), Warthog (a very old man), Shadow (a Witch), Mr. Grimm (The Death Himself), Sweet Tooth (a mental illness serial killer with fire in his head), Axel (A humanoide), Thumper (a gangsta style), Hammerhead (weirdos), Mr. Slam (an obsessed man), Minion (the Devil himself). The only "hero character" is Outlaw 2, while Spectre and Twister drivers are the only good looking characters.

Spectre is one of the easiest characters to beat the whole game with on HARD, simply due to the fact that you don't have to play against him 🤣

Did you know Spectres full name in this game is Ken Masters? They literally stole that from Ken in Street Fighter 2, whose full name is also Ken Masters, which came out way before this TM2 in 1996.

Hmmm, what makes you think I would like it? I currently don't own any consoles so I'd have to emulate it, and even then my laptop may not be strong enough to record at full FPS. People have asked about Twisted Metal Black which is a game I haven't played, but I might put it on the list.

I don't really play TM3, and I'm already mentally in a straight jacket from this game so the likelihood is low. The only Twisted Metal 2 uploads I'll have are if they're the fastest time with each machine with no deaths. After that I'll probably move on and upload something from a different game entirely.

I have been suspicious about your videos from day one ever since I heard a different soundtrack on some levels. I mean you not only beat it with everybody on hard mode, but you did it without dying and with world record breaking times for every character in a matter of 2 months. Something that should take years due to how brutal the ai is. I am not saying you are cheating, but I am having trouble buying this as a hardcore TM 2 veteran. From what I have noticed it looks like your attacks are doing way more damage than they normally would. Either you are the Twisted Metal 2 Jesus or you are cheating somehow with mods.

You don't see his myriad of resets. If he uploaded them, it would be a wayyyyy longer endeavor. When grinding out stuff like this, you tend to learn the game in and out. Look at speedrunners of other games. It comes with practice and know how.
@chesspunk489
@chesspunk489 Год назад
@@awildserah I have played this game for 24 years. I know this game better than most people. This should have taken way more than 2 months to beat the game on hard with no death runs and world record times with every character. This should not have taken hundreds of attempts, this should have taken thousands. The no death and world record time elements of every run are the factors that should have made this accomplishment take thousands of tries to do. If this was on medium it would've been a different story, but this is on hard. Perhaps this is legit, but I am very suspicious.
@mr.bp-dcbg
@mr.bp-dcbg Год назад
@@awildserah Yeah the average with the better machines was less than 80 attempts, and that's barely. That's speedrunning the game. Learning how to play on Hard mode, deathless in and of itself took a fairly long time and I actually thought it was going to be impossible for me.

@@chesspunk489 A quote I replied to "a wild serah" "Yeah the average with the better machines was less than 80 attempts, and that's barely. That's speedrunning the game. Learning how to play on Hard mode, deathless in and of itself took a fairly long time and I actually thought it was going to be impossible for me." Each machine individually (aside from really good vehicles) took on average 80-100 attempts and that's a low estimate. Adding up the totals for each machine together is easily over a thousand. Basically the speedrun attempts only took around two months (and this is literally not doing anything outside of work, but play this game), but learning how to even survive deathless on HARD difficulty took longer (something I thought was impossible for me to do).
