Twisted Sister perform 2 tracks on the UK version of the classic U.S TV Show Saturday Night Live, unfortunately our version was crap and was cancelled shortly after
I seem to recall Peter Cook introducing them on this show and calling Dee a "large American tart". :D By the way, "Saturday Live" (which wasn't a UK version of the US show at all, it just had a similar title) ran for three series, then moved to Friday for one more. Lot of crap on there but some utter brilliance in among it.
R u kidding me man, these guys have kept the faith forever. They were around before the hair band explosion in the 80's and will be around even after Planet Earth drifts off into deep space dude,
@mumu-ib5vk it absolutely did tho. The album bombed, the tour was cancelled after only a handful of shows, and for the next album they were back playing clubs.
First song was not so good and you can tell by the reaction of the crowd, but when they started playing "I am, I'm me", the crowd were really into it and Twisted Sister felt the energy and rocked out!!
Paul McLaughlin Same. Born in '88, but somehow almost all of the music I like is from 1990 or earlier, except for newer releases by old bands like Slayer, Megadeth, Dio, Iron Maiden, etc. I even remember my sisters used to put on '80s metal like G 'n R and Metallica all the time when I was very little.
"unfortunately our version was crap and was cancelled shortly after". If only we had such luck. Instead no one has noticed that the show has been embarassingly crappy since 1985, yet it still pollutes our airwaves
I love twisted sister. They are my favorite band. Leader of the pack is one of my fav songs. But, there performance of Leader of the Pack here was crap, just saying. But I still love them
This utter shite from Twisted Sister lead to their downfall. After You Can't Stop Rock n Roll they went downhill fast.Such a shame cos in the early days they kicked ass. This is sooo bad, embarrassing!!!!!!
I think they should have played Come Out and Play from that album, instead of the Leader of the Pack. Leader of the Pack is just a weak cover song. Terrible choice, the 2nd song would have paired much better with Come Out and Play.
