The Suzuki Jimny has long been a loved car, but due to emissions laws it is now only available as a 2 seater commercial vehicle.
Twisted are a vehicle modification company based in North Yorkshire, they even do boats too! They predominantly focus on the Land Rover Defender, but have now turned their attention to a similarly analogue vehicle, the Suzuki Jimny.
Twisted have made a number of changes to the Jimny, with the most notable change being the addition of a turbocharger. This means that the Twisted Jimny produces 165 bhp. As a result, the acceleration is significantly improved. There is improved handling as well thanks to a rear anti-roll bar, and Eibach springs with Bilstein dampers all-round.
There are cosmetic changes as well, to enhance the luxury feel; the entire interior has been upholstered with fine leather and an alcantara headlining. There's even soft touch material to surround the instrument dials. On the outside of the vehicle there's the unmissable 16-inch alloy wheels with BF Goodrich off-road tyres.
In addition to this Twisted will allow you to specify your own Jimny in a number of way, including adding features like light-bars and roof-racks etc.
The entire car is an exercise in what can be done when proper car enthusiasts decide to improve a popular car. Looking into the future, with a bespoke brand like Twisted, the possibilities are endless.
