I personally loved Twisters as much as I loved Twister but you made some good points. I agree heavily on the grief aspect and how it was handled in the movie though, I found myself aching for more insight to Kate’s experiences with grief. It was definitely lacking on that part, she as a character turned so inward in the wake of her grief, that it really left us viewers in the lurch about how she truly felt, aside from initially not wanting to storm chase anymore but even that was just briefly mentioned
Thanks for watching! It seemed like Kate’s character was supposed to have a mix of the Helen Hunt and Bill Paxtons characters but it didn’t seem like there was enough bandwidth to explore her grief. Too many characters detracted from the central story. I wish Javi was in Tyler’s crew!
Couldn’t agree more! I also found the constant jumping between heavy score and abrupt jaunty country music cues so jarring! The whole film relied on music too much to drive action and excitement which is a recurring issue with Hollywood “blockbusters” lately.
The Soundtrack was ok, but the Score didn't impress me like Mark Macina's work on Twister. I noticed 4 to 5 different melodies on the original film, but I couldn't identify any for this new movie. Maybe I have to go buy the score to give it more in depth listen. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Twisters but like the original, I still had some dislikes. Mostly meteorology dislikes (even though there were some improvements).
