ehh they are so linear and dumbed down though. we need Sakurai back. his style of platforming-puzzlery is unmatched.

​@@KairuHakubiHonestly, I don't even really know what that pretentious fuckery you just spouted even means man. Return to Dreamland is the best Kirby game we've gotten in a very long time. Forgotten Land is...really not that linear considering the level selection you utilize in it? That makes no sense to especially label that one as "linear". In fact, I can't even remember the last time I gave a crap about games *being* linear. I'm pretty fine with a path forward selected for me most of the time. I don't need sandbox shit every game. You wouldn't last 5 seconds playing most SRW games LOL.

​@@excessmaterial dude, return to dreamland had a ton of hype behind it because we were FINALLY getting another kirby game but it was a mess. The levels are just linear walk-to-the-end-fests. The powers are incredibly complex, but the enemies just sit there and don't do much to make you even need those powers. the Sakurai-type puzzle aspect is almost disappeared. And there's this huge focus on the big flashy screen-filling powers that become a yawnfest after you've seen gigantic sword 6 or 7 times. The bosses are either overly cartoony or uninspired 'sphere doomer' blobs. The CONTROLS are lousy, you have to hold a wiimote sideways.. the difficulty is all kinds of wacked out, it's just not what we were waiting for. And Star Allies is that times ten, so totally braindead that (until they patched it) the helpers just did everything for you. as for Forgotten Land, not only is it extremely linear and dull in terms of progression through levels, but it's just up its own ass, totally inappropriate for kirby. the look and feel of it all is the definition of all sizzle no steak. All it has are the fun and creative mouth-powers, and even those become so incredibly gimmicky that you can't even choose how you use them, there's always an exact correct placement you have to dial in. Even the music is bombastic, self-fellating orchestral noise instead of Ishikawa's fun, timeless tunes.

i imagine it would be frustrating having to constantly pause and check the map though. that's the only problem with this game, it's a fantastic IDEA, but.... this fully full-on subspace emissary situation, with a lot of one-way paths and needing specific powers at some points? bleh.

You don't even have to start over or anything, they just hop on this file!
