Garl is a Lunar reference. Rufus, your buddy who cooks, uses a pot lid shield, and doesn't stay after you take the Dragon Diamond from the starting island and sell it on the mainland. This whole game is a love letter to 8, 16, and 32 bit RPGs.
I dig the Breath of Fire 3 fishing mini game. They even made the Man o War the lowest level fish, just like Breath Of Fire 3. Like they aren't even trying to pretend.
This is clear inspired by Star Ocean. Especially with the main character mechanics. Star Ocean 2, specifically. Star Ocean is also where the food based healing, a million recipes, and actual art for the food items comes from.
what's also cool is the line that starts with "But one with your..." actually changes depending on what role you did the fight. He said to me when "one with your adamant defense" because i did his fight as a tank
2:24:53 he actually says "Have you ever fought a Viper?" If you did that fight before unlocking viper. I only know this because i did this fight before i tried out Viper
Star Trek TNG A Final Unity. I really enjoy this game. It has a CD-ROM check that doesn't work if you install from an extracted ISO from hard drive. Audio and Video setup checks can be picky, but can be manually configured in the sttng.ini file.
22:17 29:19 35:09 As a trans woman, it make me so happy that Nintendo, with this remaster, rightly gave back Vivian’s trans identity! 🥹🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️
23:15 I think it was a range of things, with the Spaceworld demo definitely being one of them. Probably a bigger factor, though, was that Link's appearances in fighting games between MM and WW were universally realistically-designed. I think those games had more eyes on them by the general public than the Spaceworld tech demo did. However, Zelda's whole history, while it flirted with the big-headed art style in the games themselves, had only really used it five times up to that point, and in only one of those times (Zelda 1) did the official artwork and advertisements confirm what was being shown on the screen as a reflection of what Link really looked like, rather than just a simplification due to the graphical limitations of the top-down perspective. Even in the earliest days of Zelda, there were licensed works like the Zelda animated cartoons from the Super Mario Bros Super Show and his appearances on Captain N that depicted Link without using a chibi art style. So this artistic conflict between multiple art styles has been part of the Zelda franchise since the start. It only became a big issue for Nintendo with Wind Waker-to-Twilight Princess, because by then, it was obvious they *could* do a more heroic-looking Link if they wanted to. They scrambled to give people that, and by the time they delivered on what people had been expecting, gamers already had their hands on Shadow of the Colossus and God of War. So, the same reason Palworld ate a bunch of Pokemon's lunch.
Why ProJared Plays and VOD channel? Seems redundant. Interested to see a new nuzlocke though! Loved the last one :D Also, it would be nice to be able to see chat, especially when you're constantly interacting with them
I was playing TYD a couple weeks ago but am too busy after moving 6 time zones. This is just what I need to scratch the itch and feel a quick familiar comfort.
This game is amazing, with the incoming multiplayer option, there is a lot of potential. Would have love some more lore but still a good game. Inscription still the best do. Kaycees mod ftw!
"Don't say boobs" Well, I already did before you added that proviso...hah! Besides, she's one of Nintendo's only bust queens along with that cute older barkeep in Twilight Princess.
I love seeing people panic the first time they see the chaos that is the Protector boss in Vanguard! Overall I like the step up in dungeon mechanics in Dawntrail. A good move forward, hope they manage to keep it up :)
Things Jared should not do anymore, for everyone's sake: - Play a game on the hardest difficulty. Starts hyped, gets frustrating quickly every time - Have insufferable games in the shuffler (aka Hydlide for NES). We all get it, it's a bad RPG. He already did it, gag is over. - Hot sauce streams. Hot sauce can seriously mess you up. He already did it, let's move on
I have some of those Star Wars cards. I believe the first set was based on Attack of the Clones and the game used dice, the starter set came with these really dinky ones. On another note, those Mirrodin cards gave me quite the nostalgia hit.
