Hell, during DSOD, Atem summons Mahad to kick Aigami’s ass in 1 blow. And it is one of the coolest scenes, because Mahad is summoned shown kneeling to Atem out of respect.
@@bigfish5544 Atem had such a hard time remembering his past not because of any magic or anything like that, his own hair blocked out the information. If he had just shaved his hair
Tenzing Khedup the actual card name in japanese is Black Magician Girl not Dark Magician Girl. So you can say that Egyptians aren't black but you're still a fucking moron trying to correct someone who isn't wrong.
she said they were like family, not actually family. Mahad and Mana are practiced to be Priest and Priestess meanwhile their bud Atem was trained to be Pharaoh. If he were to live he'd be married off with a cousin of his and not Mana since she's not actually of royal blood, if you look that deep into it
0:11 -0:14 she knew precisely what she was doing . Guessing that's one of the reasons Atem wanted to know more about them, or "us" as he put it :P She missed him like THAT after just a day of being apart. Yes "childhood 'friend'" riiiiiight....
Mana: You haven't been walking around the desert without wearing a hat again have you? Me: Mana...... look at his hair, no hat in the world is going to fit that head.
Random thought: When Atem eventually bit the dust, he was likely mummified. Did he look like a normal mummy, or was his hair still the same shape even under the bandages?
Mana: My magic is improving! Mahad: Do not tell me you used the freezing spell! We need the guards to guard our palace! *mana unfreezes the guards* Mahad: Your magic’s improving, is it? Funny as hell
Yugioh actually had a great story and characters despite them not playing the game exactly we play it and not talking life points cause i get that that would make the duels longer
What’s nuts about this is that in the Japanese, the dialogue didn’t make them seem so much like they were super shippy - they just came off as close friends - but goddamn if the dub’s script didn’t make this all kinds of “SHIP MORE THAN CONFIRMED, FORCED BRUH.” Or maybe that’s just what being voiced by Dan Green does to anyone.
Yugi plays Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl who were his friends. Kaiba plays Blue Eyes White Dragon who was his girlfriend. Anyone else playing a card based off their dead acquaintances?
Yes, I know. Like the exchange about the hat, in the og sub, she was actually saying that he looks different, or there's something different about you. She clings to him longer, like maybe 30 seconds, which isn't that long anyways. And he says can you tell my name, not tell me more about us. Obviously, because he needs to know his name. That's just a few things I recalled them changing in these two clips.
Ngl, I would watch a whole anime with Dark magician and Dark magician girl as the main characters, and the rest of their respective archetypes side characters. :3
I think it was within the framework/rules of the RPG that Atem couldn’t have the « players » (his own friends at the time) tell him his name. You could also explain it as of course they know his name, but they wouldn’t have ever really called him by it since he’s royalty
0:24 "And now Impaled that Rune knight and dark Dwarf kills that Using own your Ability is Chaos Control" -Mahad's Guidances Helped New kid's Abilities "Chaos Flare Blast"
Honestly Mana is a really underrated character. She has so much personality compared to most of the characters in Dawn of The Duel, plus she has more of a character arc. Dawn of The Duel was also my favourite arc.
Mana is my fave character. Although that may be due to the fact that Mana is an ADHD energetic nut with magical powers and I'm an ADHD energetic nut who looks at sorcerers in stories and thinks "Dang I wish I could do that". Fr tho, I had an HTML coding class in high school and when the first assignment was picking an "avatar" I picked her. I love her energy so much.
@@minicle426 on a technicality, Dark Magician Girl showed up in GX. Haven't watched the episode so idk if it was actually her or a really devoted cosplayer, since it was a cosplaying episode
In This Arc Yami Needs To Remember His Name To Stop Bakura. He Could Have Solved That Problem By Just Telling Mana “Just Call Me By My Name. I’ll Give You Permission To Call Me By My Name.” Then Boom! Done! Arc Over
What episode is this? Edit: Found out Netflix doesnt even have all seasons of the first arc. I was already thinking why we didnt get to see more of Yugi's past and such. Well gotta put a hold on GX I guess
