Also, for the pop figures, to help them stand up, get the earthquake putty. That's not what it's called, but there is a putty my mother used to help my creepy porcelain dolls as a child stood up. They were for earthquake heavy areas so things don't fall off. It's easy to pull off if needed and it doesn't leave residue.

For the pop figures, you could take a sheet of clear acrylic, cut it into pieces, and glue the pieces to their feet so that they stand up.

To keep Pop Figures from falling over, I literally just put tiny pieces of Blu-Tac on their feet. I put only enough so that it can be squashed really flat and isn't noticable, but can also be picked up without leaving behind any residue.

In regards to your blank wall, I think just putting up some art you think looks good can make the room look nice. Maybe some blue-ish paintings to match the blinds and pillows. I can say from experience that having a shelf in a place like that is really only okay if it's to display things, otherwise it's just annoying to deal with climbing on the couch to get things or hitting your head on.

Ray/Tina advice for when you get the shiba inu. I have one, but it also has some golden retriever in her. They can be hard to find one's mixed with them sometimes. With is helpful for some of the behavior problems they can have. The behavior stuff is they can like to raise mischief sometimes or just doing the opposite of what you say. Like once when I was done giving her a bath, and I left the room for a minute so she could shake off. Than when i open the door she comes running out and I tell her not to shake next to me. So of course next thing she does is run next to me to shake all your water onto me. They are also very smart which can some time make them hard to train. Also they can grow a lot of fur. I live in Michigan, and she has a dog house and stuff outside that is nicely insulated to keep her warm during winter. They shed a lot of hair if they grow it out during winter, but being in Texas I don't know if it will grow a full winter coat like my would. So just make sure you are ready to watch over it for the first couple of weeks than it will get into a routine for when to wake up and stuff.
