just as a casual reminder you can find VODs of all the featured games on my second channel, fruit salad, found here: ru-vid.com/show-UCYFnrEm7NpDx553KEHyK4iQ AND if you'd like to see more edits, might I suggest Gexuma, who has been cranking out quality fan edits for ages now: ru-vid.com/show-UCVyysf0MreUicTCyilo8e1Q
Every once in a while Mr Fruit opens his sixth sense and imparts some eldritch musing upon us blissfully ignorant fools. We clap for the entertainment the fruit provides, but we do not comprehend its true meaning.
I think the thought process goes into "you have to listen to the notes he's not playing" territory, i.e. when you reach the end of an empty hallway, the implications that there are infinite identical hallways with ends like that waiting for you as soon as you turn around. Either that or I'm reading to much into it.
39:05 Hearing an impromptu midi of Mario music with "sex" as the soundfont should not be as funny as it is but here I am, almost in god damn tears over it.
gray has the exact intended response to every part of rhythm heaven "hah, I love his yell" "that's so funny, I love that one" "oh that lightning was awesome"
"actually looktheresGAMEANDWAAAAAAA-" and also, the ever classic "youtuber sees the hole in one perfect, goes for it, and whiffs the actual first input"
Chat, what goes in the hole? Chat, what goes in the hole? Chat, what goes in the hole? Chat, what goes in the hole? Chat, what goes in the hole? What goes into the hole, chat? Chat, what goes into the hole? He asked us the question of a generation, and we could never conjure an answer.
It's compilations like these that really baffle me as to why he doesn't have a bigger following. He's such a genuinely funny person and I feel like more people would enjoy his content if they gave him a shot.
39:09 I always remember a random comment that said his voice is practically a soundboard/midi sample, and clips like these keep that thought alive. Someone's got to make an hour long video with every moment he's been proved to be an FL Studio plug-in.
46:25 grayfruit this is why your one of my favorite streamers and generally just people on the planet you somehow manage to ALWAYS complain about the exact things im annoyed about but no one else gets
I was literally thinking just this morning "There hasn't been a twitch scraps in a while" and the lord graceth me with this video to slap my mouth shut and provide me with 50 minutes and 28 seconds worth of content.
2:19 I remember that, when my aunt was healthy and babysitting me and my brother, she would always ask to "play the poker". She was french, and her English a little shaky, but I would always have my DS on a charger waiting for her. Good memories.
I love that the 2 home clips were the intro text and the end of the credits also the dude at 47:30 's hairs were shaped like the mountain in bob omb battlefield
@@r.j.tammaro8383 To be somewhat fair he had to have known he'd piss many of his own fans off, and still chose to react the specific way he did anyways.
@@TheWrathAbove to be fair people shouldn't be mad over someone's reaction over a fictional dlc character for a fighting game, literally the biggest waste of energy and emotion
@@kleebeez right? marvel kekw at least it got in the game awards, you see... the first game wasn't selling very much either and i've heard tim schafer got into some kind of drama
i've followed the studio's story for a while and like they were always desperately in search of money they failed microsoft once (with psychonauts i think) but got back in contact anyways and did some lesser known games and apps for a while then they took a different approach with psychonauts 2 (didn't wanna crunch) and that's probably why they needed more money (they indeed started a crowdfund on fig and had a bit more money from microsoft) i don't remember everything 100% correctly but this is pretty much the story
To further the Horse Diving fad, there's also a movie based off of diver whom lost her vision due to the impact on her eyes from dive after dive, worsening the condition. There's some creepy subplot about her manager falling for her, it was "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken". Total fuckin Horse Girl movie.
At 42:58 there was a way to determine where the mine was, since there was a two next to a one, the two mines of the two could not have both been adjacent to the one, meaning at least one must have been on the right tile, meaning that the two on the right was fully covered. Yes I play too much minesweeper, what, is there something wrong with that
The loading screens in Dread suffer from frequent frame rate drops because the game is prioritizing loading assets as quickly as possible instead of prioritizing a smooth animation of Samus standing in an elevator. Fruit complained about this and would dig his heels in and fight chat on it not being a ridiculous nitpick at least once an episode, that was his hill and he was determined to die on it.
@@ResonanceRetroData I respect that tbh, it's probably not a serious nitpick. He just likes going against chat sometimes on trivial shit for the sake of spite.
32:33 fun fact, you can tell if a room is a hot/cold room by the outline color of the door on the map. and a door that leads into a hot room has orange light and embers coming from it, while a door to a cold room has ice vapor coming from it
If you like minesweeper now, and you want more of the stupid nonsensical strangely overpowered mess that you get from Isaac, Demoncrawl is a great game to try.
42:50 you can actually deduce exactly where the bombs are. 2nd and 3rd cell from the right can at most have 1 bomb between the two of them, so the second bomb seen by the "2" has to be under the "1"
4:40 I remember playing this level when I was younger and one of the few things I liked doing for fun was use the mini mushroom to not use the platform, seeing someone else do the same thing is such a weird feeling
42:49 there is a way to rule it out, to satisfy the one and the three a mine has to be in the two leftmost unclicked squares. you picked the right square on accident lol
You know, I couldn’t hear a smudge of the BGM playing at 48:06, and I’ve never been given the name “Where is My Mind” before, yet before I rewinded to listen closer, my brain had already made the guess of “that somber piano tune with the repeating four notes.”
gray, you're probably gonna be my favourite youtuber for a while. your stuff is just like... pinnacle of commentary and goofs i enjoy. i hope i get to enjoy your videos for a long ass time
I literally never knew that the numbers on Minesweeper could go up further than 3. According to a friend of mine, they can literally go up to eight (even though that's not likely at all, it's just the max)
If grayfruit thinks horsediving was insane, wait until he learns that people use to crash trains on purpose. People would actually sponsor train crashes and sell tickets.
I saw the spreadsheet in the description and see you plan to play Hylics at some point. I can assure that it's a very unique experience to say the least. Everything is made of clay and by a single indie developer. I'd love to see your playthrough if or when you play it! Also, the only other big streamer who's played Hylics from what I could find is Vinny from Vinesauce, so you'd be a big part in spreading the love of Mason Lindroth's weird-ass game (If you actually like it) "May it's gland endure 1000 years" - random npc
Just saying, the line about living in the designated parody universe was kind of quick and disposable in the moment, but my worldview has legitimately changed for the better/sarcastic-er since hearing it. Thank you for the life-altering philosophy, Fruit-sensei.
i did NOT expect to hear Cabinet Man plag at 35:08 so i got really suprised for one second. like genuinly thought i was dreaming because i didnt expect Gray to be a Lemon Demon fan
i was trying to figure out why the animation style of that music… performance(?) was so uncannily familiar. and then i realized. that's *got* to be the same animation studio as Sid the Science Kid, right?? everything about it just looks so similar, am i tripping?
I'm just wondering why they had babies dance? Unless the game features them heavily it just seems like a weird premise for an ad and ultimately i don't think it pushed many to look further into it.
I don't think it's the same studio, but rather they just slapped motion capture data onto models without any consideration or adjustment for their physicality. You can see something similar in stuff like Sonic Adventure 2. That's what creates the disconnect between realistic, physical movement with cartoonish, imaginary visuals.
This is the best twitch scraps I’ve ever seen I’ve been watching through some old vods and seeing all these put together just reminds me that you have grown to be funnier and a better streamer. Keep it up!
@@grayfruit a reply from the legendary fruit man himself thank you btw your my favorite RU-vidr of all time thank you for the days worth of amazing content
