Of the last few uploads there has been many a Nightwish Reaction and a lot of talking about Floor Jansen and her amazing metal vocals and occasional opera singer style. In recent streams, some people have brought up the idea that Jarkko Ahola could possibly replace Marko Hietala (the bassist and primary male vocalist of Nightwish). Though I can't verify any claims, it is fun to hear an opera singer and twitch streamer react and give their opinion on such an amazing singer like Jarkko. I hope you enjoy this analysis and first listening of Jarkko's beautiful voice in a non-metal context. On a wintery day like this, it's joyful to reflect on raskasta joulua and what it means in the context of Finnish Metal as a whole. While this isn't Jarkko's typical arena, it's a fun place to hear him use many different vocal colors and understand from a vocal coach perspective what Jarkko is doing.
