Getting faster the more we run. Filled over a 2 cord load the other day in under 1.5 hrs. Looking forward to seeing the 40c when you get it done. Ill make it to the show in Escanaba on Saturday September 9th
Wow. where do I start. Like the longer videos. Men are still boys at heart. : ) Noticed Bert entertaining himself with seeing how far he could toss the end pieces. Noticed someone messing with us by misspelling Beech .Wonder how many commented on that ? As an old lady, I can be forgiven for noticing 3 handsome bearded hard working gents. Lovely video. Thank you Chris for the time you put into your videos.
The move to the farm saved your butt. The old woodyard was just too darn neat. I heard that the wood police were on their way because no woodyard should be that neat. Kenny from Western North Carolina Just a few hours of watching your videos. I have to get up at 8:00.
🤘Curious if Bert’s elevator would fit under the sawdust shoot and carry it away from the 22MB into a big pile. Then move it later with the tractor? Not trying to be a “Youshooder!”
Well done guys. I'm guessing that this type of production video is what Eastonmade was hoping for when they told you "just make videos". Fence post maple really sped things up. GNI
Hey guys! Definitely another day of awesomeness In The Woodyard ! Great camera work Chris! You got all the cool shots! Bert is one heck of an operator! Awesome job and getting all those bonus points with all the doinks lol, that was pretty cool! Tyler did great keeping the deck filled up an separating the wood out 🔥💯👍. It’s definitely the funniest place to be right there! Thanks for having us along so we can join in on all the fun! Anyways guys take care. And I’ll see you tomorrow! Same wood time, same wood channel! Have a great night Irene! Andrew from NB, Canada :)
It would be nice to have that help, thats like a wood yard dream team lol. I finally got to splitting yesterday in the 86F full sun with 75% humidity day and managed to get about 1.5 cords split after mowing about 15 lawns and I was spent! I realized a conveyor is next on my list!!
It is so satisfying watching it process that big log at the end. You can tell that machine is meant for those nice big logs. Bert, you are a great operator on anything you seem to operate. Keep up the good work, guys.
Hey Chris. When is the man the myth the legend the original machine going to make a guest appearance at the new wood yard. You know that’s the best job he ever had.
It will be interesting to see what the 22MBs production potential is with the 14ft Ash logs, those skinny straight Maple logs seem to kill production could be worse I guess and be crooked besides.
@@BertsCustomCuts Don't know if you read it or not but I recently commented about how that would be my goal every time I lopped a cookie off. Chris said this was coming up. Was anxious to see it done.
Woke up early and watched this operstion. Was not disappointed. Is there an adjustment for how far back the bar retracts to? It might help speed up the cycle if the bar does less travel. Just a thought i had. Mighy need to dial down the coffee intake... 😂
Good day Chris! I have to say Bert would be competition with skidder Kev😝 Saying that you are no sloth. You guys are amazing team working together for one goal. Priceless! Cheers you guys always look forward to the next video . 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Just a thought, why don’t you acquire an engine run wood chipper for all the scraps, bag it and sell it for garden/play area mulch, that way getting 100% usable products from your logs ?? 👍😜🇮🇪
That will keep production going…. “Don’t care if it’s dark, I’m behind in points. I’m gonna keep going till I win”. Lol. Take a lesson from our new federal voting strategy. oops…..
Good morning Chris. Just noted the push plate on the hydraulic ram may be loose or it could be the cover. It appears on the right hand side. Just thought i might mention it. Awesome team work as always ans i love the videos
Sawdust "eats" - while it composts - the nitrogen from the soil. the corn plants then lack this nitrogen. In order to prevent this nitrogen deficiency, it makes sense to introduce a nitrogen buffer between the soil and mulch, for example horn shavings or blood meal.
@@InTheWoodyard artificial fertilizers are used up much more quickly than horn shavings. this is a great advantage - if you need quick help for the plants. However, the decomposition process of the wood takes much longer, and the need for nitrogen is highest in the first year. the uptake of nitrogen by the sawdust is similar to the release of nitrogen by horn shavings in the first year. they therefore go very well together. Since the sawdust only needs nitrogen in N/P/K, but not P and K, the addition of NPK 10/10/10 leads to over-fertilization by -/10/10. Horn shavings have x/0/0, so some nitrogen but no phosphate, no potassium. so it's the perfect match. the sawdust absorbs the nitrogen and in this process it turns into humus. as humus, they in turn release the nitrogen so that it is then available to the plants. It is not lost but saved for later.
To add to this, Bert gets the off cuts to use in his boiler, and now he does not have to buy wood for the winter. Plus, it was part of the agreement in moving the wood yard to its new location
Nope, I have set it slower and it is to dry and the chain gets way to hot. It needs to be there, we have tried it at a bunch of different settings that is correct.
@@InTheWoodyard Those plants all look like different varieties of deerflowers! Old timer says they work like catnip, all year, just not in hunting season!
@@InTheWoodyard Gotcha. I sell a half dozen cord or so of mixed hardwood to relatives each year. My uncle thinks Birch is garbage firewood for some reason. I love it. Not as much as cherry or the Black locust that's in full bloom right now. Those trees are bee factories!
Well,,,,looks like to me,,with a few sensors, some artificial intelligence,,,and a few cameras set up,,,,you could rename the video,,No Guys. I thought it was a bit boring,,,I did learn how to speed up the play back on youtube though.
