This might truly be my favourite episode of the entire series. Charlie & his sister, Kandi singing Christmas hits, Jake drunk off his ass, Evelyn and the swinging 70s, Judith being rightfully ignored, Berta and Rose narrating the action....what _didn't_ this episode have???? 😂😂😂😂

Being that I'm usually behind the times, I've only recently started watching this savage little gem! The writing is incredibly sharp and the cast... Brilliant! Here's a show where the supporting cast actually seem to have some of the best dialogue! Melanie Lynskey and the incomparable Ryan Stiles pretty much walk away with every scene they're playing!! Although I wonder how Marin Hinkle (Judith) enjoyed playing such a soul-sucking, demoralizing shrew. I mean, Evelyn is ruthless, but she's got STYLE!! (We ALL know Holland Taylor is FANFUCKINGTASTIC!!) Every time Judith is on screen I just keep wanting somebody to smack the shit outta her! No offense to La Hinkle. Just a testimony to her acting chops! Charlie Sheen at his best!

Does anyone have the clip from this episode of the scene where Evelyn says to Charlie: "You trust me, right?" And then Charlie and Alan and Berta and Rose all respond to her, in unison: "Nooooooooo...." And then Evelyn says: "Okay, but you know I only have your best interest at heart?" And Charlie and Alan and Berta and Rose all say, again, in unison: "Nooooooooo..." I love how Berta and Rose join Charlie and Alan in shutting down Evelyn, exactly on cue!

Rose: Charlie you're having a Christmas party and didn't invite me. Charlie: This is not a Christmas party. Rose: Than what is it? Charlie: A news report that ends with "then he turned the weapon on himself."

I don't blame herb at all. I had the same response when I first saw Kandi. In all fairness Alan screwed that relationship/marriage up. No one likes being yelled at. And common would be to never ever say what's mine is yours to a woman. Period
