When Jake auditioned for the part he was just like he was in the show, a kid at heart who was more concerned about the food in the room than the audition. He was a natural for this role.
Absolutely one of the very best shows in TV history. All apologies to Ashton but this show was all about Charley and the rest of the cast. Too bad it ended for him the way it did. However we are left with the syndication airing to enjoy for years to come. RIP Berta had some of the best one liners ever. Never tire of seeing it over and over.
@@davefallenz8684 that line which she used many times was particularly hilarious when Herb slipped and fell when Judiths water broke. Cracks me up everytime.
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ i miss the days when guys like spouted their nonsense in public. It was so much fun to point and laugh. Pointing and laughing at a screen just isnt the same...
Surprised to see someone actually say that about the show lol. Normally I hear nothing but how dumb and bad the show is but I grew up watching it and it was funny enough lol.
@@shafinaymaanfahmi9960 I do believe that he was having fun on the show until something brainwashed him and yes...I do believe in God. He was just so good and so adorable.
Charlie said before in an interview that his remembrance of acting important lines and being strictly professional while doing it came from the strictness his father was on him to perform phenomenally in everything he did.
Man it's such a shame Charlie went back to drugs because when he was sober he was great alongside Jon Cryer on this show! It would've been great to see him do more seasons!
@@rocketassistedgoat1079 he was sober only for the first 2 years. In 2006 he went back to drinking but it still wasn’t too bad but got worse and worse as the years went on. By season 6-8 he was drunk for days straight and then all the problems with the show/media/chuck Lorre started happening. I get why they let him go but they should have ended it there because extending the show for 4 years out of spite just to prove that “they could do it without Charlie” (they couldn’t btw) only damaged the reputation of chuck lorre and the show.
@@motodog242 all the contracts were torn up after Charlie was fired, including the contracts for the cast and show itself. Season 9-12 was a new deal that Chuck made after they reformatted the show.
@@braxtonpierce8768 I agree it was cute to see Angus' reactions and trying not to laugh. I just wish you been there to see how hard I was cracking up when I first watched this video, whenever Jon C. played around with his mess ups.
exactly it was top of its game, it was risky, broke the rules and broken them amazingly. The early years everyone was spot on with the humor and acting.
Charlie in season 4 physically changed from how he was in past seasons. I don't know if was because he was more thin or because he left his hair longer. Jon Cryer just said that Charlie when he divorcied from his wife in 2006 fell again into alcohol and drugs, so that could be his physical change in Season 4, since that season was in 2006-2007.
That was the whole point. Young and dumb teenager, but jake still had moments where he would say something smart and surprise everyone that he’s listening. His character is only like that to show the disconnect between Alan and Charlie’s generation and new teenagers. They just operate on a different wavelength to how adults think. After Charlie left though that’s a different story, they train wrecked his character from the one or two episodes I did see
@@Danker19991 well first of all, I don't remember any of the moments when he got older and would say something smart. And secondly I'm more so talking about his personality as he got older in real life. Like there's a video, for example, of the actor sitting in his car when there's about 2 or 3 seasons left before the shows finale talking about how much he hates being on the show and he's so oppressed blah blah blah. It happens with child actors all the time. They get older and develop entitlement issues and mental health/drug and alcohol problems
@@Danker19991I much prefer Jake In the first four seasons especially the first two where he actually had a brain and had actual emotion. In the later ones his acting is terribly wooden and blank. He also became cartoon dumb. Remember the pilot where Jake beat the hell out of grown men in poker with manipulation? That was a completely different character. It's like night and day. It sucks how bad they ruined him.
I've probably watched the "laundry humper" blooper 20 times and it just gets more hilarious each time! I've said it before and I'll say it again, that's gonna be some dirty laundry 🤣
