Today I have 2 bald faced hornet nest removals for you. I found both these nests from ppl in my Facebook group and removed them for free the first wasp nest was very active and it was raining out real bad, the second wasp nest was dormant there were 2 queens inside only removed it and showed what was inside and killed the queens. Stay tuned for more bald faced hornet nest removals, wasp nest removals and yellow jacket nest removals.

@joehorecny7835
@joehorecny7835 3 года назад
You are supposed to put a couple inches of water, and couple squirts of dish soap in the vacuum - then they go in and quickly drown. The dish soap breaks the surface tension, sticks to the wasps and inhibits their breathing. Then as you vacuum, then go right into the water.
@wasphunter7131

I used dust insecticide in the vac it’s 100% plant based and designed to be used on wasps

*_That was so cool. It is actually amazing how they build such a beautiful & perfect mini city. We only see bee's in Ireland & i never even heard of a hornet before arriving in America. [pre-internet]. So i'm on a cherry picker, up at the second floor of an old school white washing it & was attacked by this thing from another planet. Like i said, never heard of or saw anything so big. I had to drive myself back to ground level while been swarmed [not really, was jus one big giant hornet]. Still scary but i guess he was just curious as he didnt sting me..lol_*

Play with it some ( of course) and keep on hand some 14 gauge and some 12 g copper wire. It'll probably help entering a wall and or nest. Some electrical tape will come in handy as well. If some stiff wire is needed that drop ceiling wire ( comes straight, not coiled) might be better than copper wire. You might find the stiffer wire good to make a hook to pull other nests out of walls and such. Keep the vids rolling!

Just wondering 'bout your bee suit - I've heard that BFH can easily sting right through the bee suit fabric ... also wondering, why not just drop the nest into a tub of sudsy ammonia and water?
@wasphunter7131
@wasphunter7131 2 года назад
They can sting through. It depends more on how you control the situation though, you mainly want the suit to fit loose and try not to allow it to lay flat against your skin. As long as it’s loose in the area they attack they will only get the fabric. So as long as your cautious and avoid bending over certain ways you are pretty safe. I use the dust mainly because it’s a slow acting solution, this allows them to spread it around to the others that escape the nest. I get attacked a lot more but it allows more of the hornets to get the dust on them reducing the time they will linger after the nest is removed. I normally tell people to expect some to swarm where the nest was for about 24-48 hours after the nest is removed this allows all the ones foraging to return and contact the dust. When I don’t use dust they tend to linger around the removal sites for up to a week afterwards.

@AM-yj5yc
@AM-yj5yc 4 года назад
They assemble and dissassemble the outer shell (envelope) a great many times per season as the population grows and the interior of the nest becomes too small and needs to be expanded. Plugging their exit hole would just cause them to make a new exit elsewhere.
