What a great little aircraft. Perfect for my 1930's adventure story set in Madagascar. Yes, I will give credit to the de Havilland technical school. But I will change the engine, for something with a touch more Oomph. May be V6 100 bhp Ford.
@ The original Chiltons had a 30hp Carden-Ford 4-cylinder water-cooled engine. It was suggested, rumoured that an air-cooled 35hp, flat 6 Porsche engine was to be fitted. But this was dropped due to cost and politics.
I love this plane.... but for "modern people" it needs to be widened to 28 inches and fly with a VW power plant. I can only imagine 85hp in this plane. What is Never Exceed any way...? All the Best, Thanks for posting...
