@@1337Swiper Trying to justify corruption by what ancestors did is just stupid. There have been many conflicts in the history of the world where many countries did dispicable things and formed many grudges. We shouldn't need to pay for that. Many people of the current age have done nothing wrong to these countries, heck alot of them are trying to help them through charities and such. So the least they can do is not rob them and try to get their countries politics in order.

You're right! They were dismissed for getting caught in that act! This seems to be the unwritten code in Nigeria ! You can commit any kind of offence, but no matter how heinous the offence is don't get caught in the act! Even where people go to report with enough evidence,at the end of the day nothing is done! Just for the record, Noraly (Itchy Boots) did not report the Constables. One of her viewers from Australia did, without her permission. I know this because I am subscribed to her channel. Down in the comments for the video, the Australian person stated their offense and said they had forwarded the video to the Nigerian embassy in Australia. Other subscribers were not happy about that because Noraly was not finished riding through Nigeria yet. They really upbraided the person for potentially endangering Noraly for the rest of her time in Nigeria. So, it wasn't Noraly that reported the bribery attempt, it was someone else.

Probably only because they got caught on camera by Itchy Boots with her far reaching RU-vid channel. I’m guessing that locals without “the cloud” of a RU-vid audience probably also don’t get the same justice and normally I would suspect they pay parts of their bribes up to their chief. Doesn’t necessarily have to be the case but mostly that’s how it works when they know or feel they can get away with it.

They used to ask like thus " You don't want to make your friend Happy" The real shocker was the Immigration officer after taking my passport asked me " Do you have any Dollars with you?? Don't yo want to make your friend happy" some how I denied and told No dollars all money send to my bank account . A drop in the ocean. I worked in Nigeria for many years and learned very fast that the only way to get anything done was with a little 'Dash'. My first experience of passport control on arrival in Lagos was as I handed over my passport and the lady in the booth said "What do you have for me?" She repeated this a few times as I tried to think of what the hell she was talking about. I was tapped on the shoulder by a fellow passenger who whispered "Give her a couple of dollars man." I had no dollars but a £5 note did the trick.

As a Thai citizen (Thailand), this kind of action It is considered a good example. If we don't do that, Nigeria will have more tourists and tourists. Businesses dare to travel and invest more. Safety is the source of national prosperity and education. hope nigeria It will develop and become increasingly safer. And let Nigeria May only wealth come into the country, Ameen (Mr.Danny From ThaiLand)

I saw that video. These poor guys shouldn't have been dismissed. Yes, the tall one asked for money but in a non threatening way. Then when she replied with in a funny way that "he should give her money". He said go go. The whole interaction was not so serious.

He was sounding her out ! To see what her reaction was , if she had been more concerned he would have pushed the issue as it was she laughed it off and he knew not to push it any further, mainly to save face and he knew she was no pushover

This dismissal is so hypocritical. The ones dismissing these officers are all bird of the same feathers. and these people just asked what did you bring from Netherlands for us. In my opinion they should be punished for not doing their job by allowing itchy boot free pass without checking her luggage thoroughly for any contrabands not for bribe they obviously didn't collect. Now we have 2 dismissed officers who are proficient with firearms roaming the streets.
