Not many people manage this. Pure luck. Should be titled this is what happens when you don't concentrate AND you haven't flown for a while AND your thumbs are frozen but it's not as catchy is it.
Haha cheers dude. I've had worse crashes. When i first tried flying without stabilisation i was stupid and flew way too fast, too far away. Ended up flying towards myself and went into a wall full speed lol. All of thid damage plus more. Whole frame cracked etc. Patched it up with some glue and other plastic and kept flying it for quite a while until it snapped mid air again doing flips.
@@RCStuffvideos since you mentioned the word 'flip': what percentage of cyclic travel/rate have you set on the transmitter? Is your heli's flipping speed about the same as the RTF's at high rates, or did you increase that on your DX9? I'm practicing a lot on a simulator and there I'm flying a very aggressive 3D heli, and now I'm so used to that snappiness that I'm worried the 230s will be to mellow when I'll try all this in reál life :D
@@Abszurdista-fatalista good question. I often think "damn I'm sure this pitched and rolled faster when it was new", but it might just be me getting better, and knowing what to expect. Or maybe the rtf transmitter does something differently. As for my set up i still experiment with changes sometimes but currently i have 3 positions fir rates. I never really use the low rates anymore but mostly the mid rate which is equal to the high rate settings in the manual so 100% dual rate. I have a higher rate too with dual rates at 125% and lower expo at 15%. I also have ail and ele servo travel set to 125. Not saying this is the best but seems to help if you want to get more responsive reactions. Also planning on doing a video on gain settings and some things to help if fly better. As for the sim, i used to really dial it up too but when it's not realistic I'm not sure it helps. So i turned it down a bit to make it slightly more like the real thing. No doubt flying something more responsive in the SIM can help for sure, you feel you can think faster when the real thing is a bit more mellow I just don't go overboard.

Can’t wait for my v2 receiver Nice skills, that sounded really good backward I was like okay ok now lol. I rebuild mine all upgraded accept frame electronics no I did put 2627 4200 motor in. Haven’t. Flown it yet. Look forward to rebuild . Greeting New Jersey
For those that have never tried it, mastering basic pattern work with an RC heli to be able to fly smoothly forward/backward and upside down or not, is practically "impossible" (it sure feels that way when you start). Doing it with a micro/mini is just that much harder. (props!) I am doing exactly this kind of flying in the sim right now and getting close to doing it for real. My main heli is a TREX 550X and I just added an 800E Pro. Touching the ground is expensive. I get it solid on the sim before taking it outside. The big birds are expensive to crash, but they are so much easier and more relaxing to fly.
Not impossible, but learn from you mistake and have a systematic plan for each flight. Like one flight one maneuver. Never just free-style it and get creative. Limit the maneuver. Do a warm-up flight. Then 2nd flight same maneuver but do more. Yes, sounds boring, but this is rc heli strive for total/absolute/unquestioned control. You are doing it right. Simulator first. (at 100% physics, then 150% physics or hardest level(). Then hit the field.
