Two people were killed in a house explosion in Bel Air on Sunday morning. The 73-year-old homeowner and a 35-year-old Baltimore Gas & Electric contractor died and a neighbor was injured.

Utility companies have been replacing gas pipelines and gas meters without the regards of gas leaking while doing so. And I live in Pennsylvania. I questioned the workers on how safe it was to have whole families inside homes while performing this work because of the strong smell of gas. They said it was safe, smh!!! Imagine someone not getting any notice ahead, that smokes. Disaster waiting to happen.

Don't start connecting the dots, you'll be labeled "a conspiracy theorist" For those of us that are counting this most recent one makes it 110 so far this year. Last year was a total of 219. And the kicker is most of these are happening in prominent well to do neighborhoods. Hmmmmm

Thank you for making this comment, I knew I'm not the only one who's been pondering the same thing. Especially, in states where there are Governors that want to abolish gas altogether, and condemn everyone to Electric when there is not enough, Energy Power grid to sustain it in cold climates. These politician policy people are the ultimate Evil. May the two victims rest in peace.🙏

Im from the area, and it could be felt for miles! Even as far as PA oeople felt it We live right by a military arsenal thats always blowing things up, shaking the house and rattling the windows....many people initially figured thats what it was Very sad indeed

A gas smell getting that far away from the source is interesting. Check the DEI hiring practices. Check what the response time was from reported leak to explposion.

I loved cooking with gas but i had my gas lines disconnected & removed several years ago. Too many homes blowing up due to old improperly maintained gas line infrastructure.

Probably oxygen tank and ruptured gas line. Oxygen is highly volatile.

Wait til you have that electrical fire. There were over 51,000 home electrical fires last year, compared to 219 gas explosions from leaks. You statement makes absolutely no sense

@@neonnoir9692 Actually a lot of it is from poor or flawed construction from the start that fails over time, has nothing to do with what the home owners are doing, (which I concede, that there are some dumb ones but that's a small percentage). If you worked in the trade everyday you would know this instead of talking out your rear. Now go back to your dog grooming job, break time is over cupcake

I absolutely refuse to have a gas appliance inside the structure of my home,it’s an irrational fear of an explosion but I can live with it. My home is seventy years old and I’ve never had an electrical fire.

@@neonnoir9692 yes. I have worked in fire restoration for years. I am aware of all the stupid things people do as well as which appliance brands to avoid. Also just having a gas leak can kill you in your sleep. No one can avoid every possible fire but I choose to stay away from a gas line in my home.

Behind closed doors Trump and Hilary are the closest of friends. There are no sides in the political sphere. They meet and decide on roles and parties to best serve their personal interest. It's about money. The whole left / right thing is just a distraction so stupid people get worried about non existent culture war issues while being robbed blind. Remember when your paycheck could actually buy things you wanted? The same minimum wage job has less than 70% of the purchasing power it had 30 years ago. You're getting "paid more" but the money is worth less and less. Where do you think it's getting funneled to? It's not right vs left. That's a distraction. It's rich vs poor. Always has been.
