What I especially enjoyed was that you were fishing on water you had never fished before. It was really awesome to hear your analysis of where you thought the fish would be. Then to see your success was the icing on the cake. Other guys have said it that your videos are absolutely the best I have Ever seen.
All the spots I caught fish I’ve spent plenty of time at before. That little canal at the start was the new water for me but I didn’t have much luck in there so I went back out to the main river. I think that spot could hold fish at the right time though. The water is really low right now so there was no current flow in there and I don’t think it’s quite cold enough yet where the fish are moving off the main river.
My day usually gets better when you upload, used to go bass fishing with my grampie all the time, he passed in September, been out a few times with his fishing buddy but it hasn't really been the same
Nice to have more than one "tank" today! Really enjoy your channel. Many many years ago when I lived in Minnesota, I fished several of the spots you show. I lived close to the river you are fishing. There were nice big smallies back then too. You bring back many good memories.
Two fish on the same lure is right up there with your video of netting a smallie and having an even bigger smallie jump in your net. Your videos are awesome, always entertaining and educational too. Big thanks!
At about 2:00 my claustrophobia began to ramp…. Another excellent vid Mr. Matt!! Thanks for taking us along. I hope your domestic bliss continues, too.
Hi MAN , my name is Nick and I’m from Sweden , I follow your video with so much joy. I’m very happy you can make so much people happy with your videos. I wish you all the best in the world and I hope you can make us more videos.i hope maybe I can talk more about fishing tips with you 🙏 appreciate best regards nick
Ah that’s better, thanks Matt! We sold our kayaks for a move across country this year, waiting for the next two to arrive. Your videos are second only to being on the water ourselves.
Two fish at once, double trebles, two smallmouths getting rowdy and in a net, and you go in with your bare hands? You need to put a "don't try this at home" statement on that! The skill on that was really insane, and not something for amateurs like me.
Nothing better than a good days fishing and that was a good days fishing! Lovely smallies and plenty of them surround in a great bit of scenery! Lovely location, thank you for a great video again. See you again soon.Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧👍🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
I'm subscribed to several fishing channels, and yours is BY FAR the best. I've recommended you to all my fishing friends. If I ever make it out to Minnesota, we should hit the river for a day!
caught 2 nice bass on a whopper plopper today. they both struck at the same time, started jumping and bouncing out the water, craziest fishing story so far.
Cool that you caught 2 smallies on the same lure! I have done that twice, both times 2 smallies and, both times it was a 2-hook small Rebel popper! They're the greediest fish around here in southern Ontario. If you took ur kayak to Fanshawe Lake, you would have a field day, ur arms would be tired from catching 15+" smallies!😂 That perch might even get you a good walleye if you let it sink deep enough!
To any people who disliked this video, you are sick in the head 😂 This is content gold. So relaxing to watch, yet captivating. Such a fan of these videos, and I wish I had a fishing buddy like this guy!
I would kill to catch fish like those. If I ever get out that way would like to fish with you. Keep Slaying them! And yes I think savage gear should put you on the payroll.
Picked up 4 new curado dc reels and 4 new st croix victory bass rods a couple weeks ago. Fished them twice (6g HM/M, 6g H/M, 7g H/F, 8g H/XF) and they are the best setup I've ever fished. The carbon blanks on the rods are so light but produce great strength and action and the reels can cast a mile effortlessly and keep your lure active all the time. And there is nothing better than that sweet sweet drag sound.
I'm really hoping they add some shorter models to the Victory series lineup. I like the 6'6" and 6'8" versions of the BassX and Legend Tournaments, if they make Victories with similar specs I'd be all over them.
@@ndyakangler yea, I'm in the southeast and fish more lakes and overflows than rivers, out of Boat and kayak so the low 7 rods don't bother me too much. I fish out of a nucanoe f10 primarily but have a kaku voodoo. I did look at the St Croix Mojo Yak rods but they didn't get the best reviews. Still don't have one of those iconic st croix blues.
Nice double! Watching your videos inspired me to get a kayak. I got the Lifetime Teton Pro 116. Love it! I'm excited to fish for walleye before the lakes freeze here. Keep up the content 👍
