My father worked at a flower nursery after WW II. It was owned by a very rich man who whose mansion had a multi windowed room with many antiques. Pop took me there when I was maybe four and I was captivated by the globe like these.

Glorious Globs.. I remeber seeing one at Kronborg Castel in what was called Tycho Brahes room.. it can be about 1982/3 I belive.. Where theyr now I wonder.. Love watching Antigues Roadshow Thank you BBC 💕✌️😏

These are smaller than Nero Wolfe's globe. 34" around. (Fictional NYC detective, great series by Rex Stout, recommend.)

@@alanchatfield4271 Wrong! The earth is a trapezoidal object. L. Ron Hubbard and Elvis have teamed up and are planning to have it flattened but for now it is rather puffy.
