Every time my friend comes we take a run in the forest and a swim. When it's winter we take a ice dip, ice bath, winter swim or a Norwegian Dip as I like to call it. I show you how to cut the triangle which is the best way of entering and exiting the ice cold water. The triangle is used among professional ice divers and navy divers around the colder world. It's actually a quite refreshing ice bath and you can stay in it longer than you think, but don't push it to far.. a cold ice swim in the North. The famous Wim Hoff Style, the Iceman, likes a dip like this.

On bare Ice using woollen socks and shoes is a great idea, my crocks froze to the ice when standing in the same place after about a minute.

I wish I could call you guys crazy for jumping into a frozen lake, but where I live, plenty of people do those kinds of things in the winter as well, and I know sooner or later, I'll probably jump in a frozen lake too. I have been liking your videos and I knew I had to subscribe. Take care!

Speaking of crazy, I just watched your EOD plaque video (good router control, I know I wouldn't be as good); having been a former soldier, I have known some EOD guys, and I don't know what Norwegian EOD guys are like, but from my experience, our EODs are a little nuts! Real brave, but a little nuts. LOL! Good luck with your channel and I hope it grows big. I will certainly be watching.

Hello there. Here is my honest feedback as promised: 1. I would have loved to see beneath that ice with a camera and a waterproof flashlight 2. Some context would be nice such as air temp, ice thickness, and water temp. 3. That chainsaw part looked really interesting, I would have loved to see a timer on the screen and instead of cutting the footage just seeing a speed up version

Well thanks.. 1. There was 2-3 little underwater scenes.. it's mostly brown and murky(as you could see) - pretty uninteresting, so I left most of it out. 2. Towards the end I mention -5 celsius, the Ice thickness one can sort of see by looking at the blocks I carve up about 15cm... and since it's Ice and freezing the water will be around 0 to 1 celcius. To me these things are quite self explanatory - but I appreciate your views, not everybody is used to winter. Nice touch with the timer thing, I will be looking into that. Cheers!

Nah, it's only small stuff about a fingers length. This is a man made lake for production of Ice back in 1880. The deepest parts are about 2 meters, thats roughly 6-7 feet.. Great for swimming and ice skating. And pretty good for birds too as the water draws in a lot of insects.
