poor Trench Warfare, he was doing so well. A great and long match, this reminds me of the videos between the endgame behemoths chinese and byzantines.

Love all the videos Drongo, keep it up mate, love from Europe! I can confirm i mostly meet English on the ladder in plat level, also in 2v2s and 3v3s, coupled with French and HRE

hey Drongo, I've had a lot of fun playing English, but this is my first season, i started as bronze 1, and slowly made my way to silver 3, but the civ has been great to learn and play with

On the ladder I am Diamond 2, I would say I have been seeing a fairly even mix of: Ayyubids, English, HRE, Byz, China, Rus, and Abbasid. Hardly any Japanese, Juicy, Delhi, French, JD, Mongol, Ottoman, Malian, or OOTD.

About halfway through: why didn't Valdemar take advantage of his 40 villager lead? He could've easily put pressure and started trading out units at that point but just held back and lost his pop cap advantage.

Trench Warfare played well overall, but there were so many occasions where he just donated units to his opponent. He also didn't go all-in when he had the advantage. Pretty heart-breaking for such a long game.

Losing 3 nest of bees underneath his fort while microing his raids definitely hurt, I think they're 1000 olive oil each, and having a decent mass later would have made dealing with that hand cannon blob alot easier.

Quality game! English main here and just switched to the Byzantines so very interested to see the build orders of 2 great players.. I'm only a gold player on Xbox and i encounter HRE and Frence most commonly. There is lots of English players though. But i can see why, not because they are OP but because they are just simple to play.
