I've used this frame a few times with other motors, cameras or receivers etc. This time it's probably quite acceptable. The other one (meffie) needs the 3s and another motor ,but I already have the donor for it! ;) I will rebuild it on Friday. I transferred the meffie parts to a 3" toothpick frame and flew it ,but still need to get the right propeller for it.
@@FpvBudgetBuilds There is no special science ;) Anyone can gain some experience or "knowledge" after a few builds. I had no help whatsoever when I started in this field , most of the people were building 5" racing drones with enough space to turn a bus around. And micro quads have tiny solder points and tight spaces. There weren't many ideas on the internet about what to combine with what, so a lot of people tried this and that. The easiest and cheapest is to replace the propellers ,which sometimes affects the behaviour of the quad quite a bit! The other is the motors, how much lift they give, whether you can catch the quad in a fall or if they are only good for cruising. Choosing a good frame can also be a consideration, whether it's heavy and durable or light and fragile (finding the balance). If you have the chance, you should try it and not listen to the narrow-minded "pros", e.g. those who say you can't freestyle with a micro quad or fly outside with a whoop because it's slow and weak. But this is just my personal experience ;)
@@TargetFPV I was being sarcastic when I said I know nothing of that world 😀. I have built quite a few. It gets to be mad scientist stuff when you start stripping parts from one, just to finish another. I have one build that went through 3 different frames. Now its back in the parts bin again. LOL
@@FpvBudgetBuilds Excuse me! ;) Sometimes it's hard to tell who means what, especially when my mother tongue is different. I have had meffie stuff on 2",2.5" and now 3" frames and finally stuck on a 3" toothpick (for who knows how long). I have a couple of quads ,that either have old receivers(frsky) or just not very well made (or are abandoned) so they are such donors. Especially ,there are less and less kinds of parts available in webshops (available to me). e.g.: just ordered vtx03 2 pieces ,because it was on sale on banggood ,old vtx ,but they have worked for me so far. I really couldn't find any other vtx either too big or too expensive ,even betafpv doesn't sell separate vtx anymore unfortunately. Good here are the 1s aio's ,but ,if I want to build a 2s quad and not a 1s whoop? I still have parts and I should focus on flying but if I like to build..
Yes 3s is a good solution, but I didn't dare to run these motors on 3s. Although the 1204 6500kv motor can still handle it ,but the 1303 8000kv motor might be too much in my opinion. I will have to find a good motor and FC for it :)
