I'm the original owner of an unrestored 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona ! It has only 62,000 miles and runs better than new . 440/375hp , 727 , 3:55 . Black with white stripe and interior . Only needs repaint and headliner replacement . Mechanically perfect ! Runs like new . I'll sell it to you for a meazly one million dollars ! All paperwork , sales sheet , window sticker , original keys , and small redline hubcaps with black steel wheals . Drive this baby ! Don't make it a Closet Queen for someone else to enjoy . I sure drive mine !

His facts are a little off. According to the Daytona registry, There were 22 Hemi Daytona's made with a 4 speed. 13 are known to exist, and 3 are 100% numbers matching.

Something doesn't add up he said you can feel the down force but never has driven the car ? To my knowledge the fender were cut to stop the wheels from rubbing ,because the front nose piece made so much down force . Enjoying your trip and the show. 1St

I fully understand not wanting to drive that perfect and irreplaceable car. That's why people build recreations/clones of the real thing. All the same enjoyment without the risk.

If it's been completely restored, why *not* drive it? Just drive it with respect. If it eventually gets a little tatty (as unlikely as it may be!) just re-do it again. I certainly understand and can appreciate the concept of cars as a canvas (a sculpture, as art itself), but with over-restored regular production vehicles? There was never a point these would have been this nice! I honestly reckon this would look better with a little sign of life..
