Lost my best mate in February, 15 years of shooting friendship with the little fellow. Still miss him. Enjoy what you have left your little mate. Another great vid!
Great to see the boy still out with you, honestly for me it's a big part of what you do. Carry on the traditional, it's hard in the modern life but a lot of older folk like me know it's the way.👍🏴
I like Simon's videos because he is in The Old World, using old English, telling it like it is, showing decades of experience in his art. Inspiring, and just the least bit jealous. 😁
@@simon6ppc246 Give Jack a cuddle from me pal and give yourself a pat on the back. You both deserve it, we need to keep this way of life. Do you remember Jack Hargreaves and his programmes. I get some of that from your content and it's like an old friend. Keep it up pal👍
Your humanity and compassion, despite the job needing done, has impressed me the many times I come back to your posts. It is one of the reasons I stick around. We’ll done!
Thank you Daryl ye i do respect the fox in fact its one of the smartest animals in my Country i think and at times i actually can't believe i have kind of controlled them all my life.
I love the calmness of your videos. You give thorough explanations of the why/how you choose your equipment without rushing thru it, and without making the gun the main focus of the video. Just a man with the proper tools doing a proper job. Keep it up please!
Thanks pal, ye i try to do these videos with out glorifying the actual shot or the kill and try to explain the best i can as these are beautiful animals that just want to survive but obviously need controlling. 👍
As always you dispatch in the best humane way possible given the terrain. And without needing to mention the real star of the video “Jack”. Although you take life, it always has purpose and not for simply killing. Keep up the excellent work.
Similar to what my father said about deer hunting when I started going with him as a boy. He had told me once that he didn't care if he shot a deer, as the whole thing was a good excuse to take a walk in the woods. Always a pleasure to see a video with you and Jack. Take care,Simon.
Absolutely right shoot four fox or none. The experience is the same. Nine times out of ten we still learn something new. Get home have a night cap and a bacon butty😉
Thank you for your shooting, you bring us all beside you when shooting, Jack likes messing about at his age. dogs tend to go into a world of their own when old. Mind did.
Thank you Simon for yet another interesting video. Two problem foxes less to be concerned about and nice respect for the fallen. Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave 👍😎🏴
Great stuff Simon, some great shooting there mate. Good to see old Jack out even if it’s not as often as previously. It’s sad when you notice them slowing down.
Your routine payed off with the super quick showing of the second fox. Those close fescues are impossibly good at blinding, you can never get em all. Nice job.
I liked it when he apologized to the fox. He's a professional, I've seen his American counterparts doing the same job and they seem to get off just killing things.
Chatty on this one Si😂😂😂. Nice shots as always. Lovely condition those foxes, shame in a way, but needs must. Look forward to the next. Pat for Jack.👍👍
Ye Eddie i only shoot the problem ones as you may be know, such a smart animal shame really every one i have shot for years now i kind of say say sorry to them i know its daft but i do respect them a lot.
@@simon6ppc246 Yes you are a great shooter and an excellent true countryman/conservationist as well👍👍👍. I like the way you say sorry thats real respect for the quarry!
The area takes me back to Stape, Egton Bridge, Danby, all those little villages with the winding single track roads. Spent a lot of time with my dad round there. Great shooting, it’s good to see pest management done so well.
Awesome video and scenery to be out on. I flat love this channel. Every video is excellent. I know I'll never meet Jack, but I feel like I know him, and I have a very strong affinity for him.
Thanks Ridin ye Jack seems to have a good fan club at the moment my only regret is i wish you could have all seen him in his prime and how well trained he was..
Seeing Jack with you was a plus. I know a few fellows who used to go to the local farm to reduce pests. There’s a real need for that level of control. Great video.
A man and his dog . If only they could live as long as we do . I have gone through many pets in my life and they are like family . Enjoyed your video .
Hi Simon. This is one of your best vids. Everything you put across in the prep for shooting the foxes is spot on. The bait the repeat time the fox show the grass clearing and the new relaxed you adding the humour. You get my vote every time. Tally Ho 👍
your funniest comment was forgetting your callbox...you remember always when you have to go all the way back...anyways those were great looking pelts...carry on Matey
Oh the nights I have had to drive 50 odd miles back to try and find things in fields. Callers are up there but also torches, knives, sticks etc. once, even forgot my boots! LOL
Greetings from Adelaide, South Australia! I love watching your videos - you do a fantastic job of putting the videography, commentary and soundtrack together. I do a lot of solitary roaming and whistling for foxes over here. Always good to knock off a few, to give the native wildlife a better chance. Nice to see you out with the old lab too - you can see he still loves it, even if his body is getting weary. Keep up the great work.
Another outstanding video and great to see Jack out with you. Good two nights work and two problems solved. I'm not the only one to forget things then ? I walk into a room, then can't remember what I was looking for quite often.
Hi Simon , Great video and 2 foxes accounted for, nice to see you using the drone pro they were and still are a fantastic scope and wish I kept mine but there we go, Thanks for sharing mate. 👍
Thanks Bob ye my Sako won't be like the benchrest ones you have over there but it is a shooter, my best being .25 of an inch at 100 yards and half inch at 200👍
Again great shooting. Jack looked chipper. 55... You are a youngster. I am 80 and still work on my own stuff. Cars mostly and some backyard gun building. Just finished a 308 with 22" free float barrel on an AR platform. Now it's time to take it out and sight it in.
The best part of Dear hunting for me, is to be out by myself in the woods! Your recovery from the Fox being early was great! I have missed some great shots while not paying enough attention, walking in to where I think will be a great spot! 😂 Best to Jack, as always! 👍
@@simon6ppc246 I know all about it!! I've been in Colorado for nearly 30 years, but being originally from Alabama with a heavy Southern accent, people here still have a hard time understanding what I say! Keep shootin' buddy, that's the important part.
