Vines has every shot, incredible feel, variety of pace and terrific shot selection. He’s also the most agile of the 60+ guys I’ve watched as I approach my 60th. It’s instructive and inspiring to see.
Both Vines and Chuck Kuhle, another top player withdrew this weekend from a level 1 national tournament due to injury. Got to take care of yourself out there. Hard to play both singles and doubles every day for a week straight.
Loved the last game. Great serve selection from both you of you guys by moving the ball around box. Ken loved how you kept Mark deep. Mark, killer drop shots.
Tennis is a very athletic sport! Guys like Jimmy Conners and Ivan Lendle cannot even walk within pain. Let alone play tennis. Very few elite pro players play competitive tennis for the shear love of the game!
Maybe Mark will reply or I"ll ask him. Meanwhile, he moves really well and always has. Koelling, whom I've watched several times now, is really good off both sides. Kudos to Mark for this win!
I am one of few guys 💯 in the world that can handle Vine's leg speed, and topspin you and backhand. I am only 62! Eligible for 65 tournaments in 21 months as I was born to in 61!
Obvious these guys never played at a very good level even when they were young or picked up the game in their30's🤔 because neither of them have any technique in any of their shotmaking. Ugly tennis no matter what age‼However props to them for trying to run around the court‼
Both these guys play at absolute world class level in their age group and obviously at least Mark Vines (I would say both) is a very smooth technician on the court. You see that he is a masterful tennis player right away. Your comment is absolutely embarrassing.
