The elevator scene from the 2003 film "Two Of Us", starring Aidan Quinn as Paul McCartney and Jared Harris as John Lennon. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED. FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND REVIEW PURPOSES ONLY. FAIR USE APPLIES.
I was like, "Aww, that's cute, John and Paul play fighting." -John kisses him "OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH OH IT'S- IT'S REAL!!!! MCLENNON WAS IN A MOVIE!!!! WASN'T EXPECTING THIS! SHIT." And then Paul totally roasts Brian Epstein.... Damn Paul....
I cried in the last scene when Paul gets emotional leaving John's apartment. I feel immense gratitude to the producers for this idea of letting them alone ( at least in a movie) without their wives so they could talk, could dance, sing together, smoke pot and even kiss. Paul says "no" with such a broad smile it's obvious he wanted it. John also could sleep on Paul's shoulders. How lovely is that?
When ever the boys were feeling down, they would say, "where're we going Johnny?" then John would say "to the top boys" they the others would say "where's that Johnny?" "to the topper most of the popper most." then they would feel better again. :)
This is not something prepared by fans. It's by people who actually knew them. This inclusion of the scene has to be based on what they perceived on them. Ths story is fiction, not their personalities. I think they wanted to open our minds somehow. IIt's time to learn people are more than straight or gay. And the Beatles.,..well, they were part of the Beat Generation, That's why they chose the name Beatles. Les...Beat! . We can't classified them. Free Spirits.
It's a reference to a beat in music first and foremost. I like the Beat Generation analysis and it does fit. But they did it because of a beat in music
It may sound odd, but this film meant a sort of liberating release to me. Til this point, I had always put all four Beatles on a pedestal: the highest, the best, the most rebel, their music was divine etc. It needed this movie to make me realise that my heroes were also apt to make stupid mistakes and live life just as life does.
I really like this movie it feels real even if it's fiction. The actor may not look as close as real Paul and John but they performed them exactly like 'em , even some 'body language' , their expressions and showed how even their few differences they still stick even love each other
It was a VH1 movie, not a cinema release, so it didn't make huge waves. It was also directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, who directed Let It Be and would have some first-hand insight into this pair!
Heehee he was embarrassed that he couldnt open the gate! IRL John was goofy too, here they showed both of them fighting with each other playfully that way in the elevator which is very funny imo😊😊
John and Paul. They were so perfect together it hurts. It physically pains me. I want, I just NEED something... a video clip, a photo, ANYTHING of John and Paul kissing. That would just about make my life. Or, if Paul decided to reveal that he did, in fact, love John IN THAT WAY. That would also make my life.
I feel your pain but take the relationship for what it was. It's already hands down the greatest love story of all time. I believe they possibly shared a kiss (or a few) just to experiment but part of the beauty is that so much is left to the imagination.
I showed this to my 9 year old brother, and he was like "I can't watch!" and then he said, "Oh, but I want to" heehee, he was so disturbed. I'm a good role model.
i remember watching this movie a while ago for some reason, and actually quite enjoying it. once i looked passed the fact that they were actors and i started to believe this was a documentary, i was actually immersed. the ending totally bummed me out so bad.
