Honestly I had to do a triple take because I really thought hiccock45 was THP lover. That would’ve been awesome!! You got me good sir. Plus great name 😂
Man yalls channel is by far the realest and most honest out look on how hunting really is. I love that you miss that buck and just laugh. Great attitude. Id love to be able to hunt with y'all.
Love to see Zach own up to his mistake and accept it. We've all been there. And it's wild how the pressure of a situation can skew your judgment. Been there done that. Happens to the best of us!
I have about 20acres of private land I hunt but I've been trying to let the deer get older and more mature. So I've been hunting public land for the majority of the season and only hunting the private if I had a good buck on camera. Your videos have helped me so much with scouting and technique that I never would have learned on my own. Thank you!
Look up: whitetail habitat solutions the guy jeff sturgis has great videos on land mgmt. I use and vouge it works. These guy got the best content ever.
Hahahahaha I seen my truck in your video. Drove by when he was belly crawling that buck right before dark. I knew it was you guys. Not to many people with long hair and camera gear. Seen you guys in a few different spots.
I love the fact that you guys take the time to go over the little things like you did on that second shot. It’s frustrating and hard to be filmed in those situations but you guys always do a great job trying to take something away from each experience.
A couple tough misses, but I always like Zach’s let’s get after it attitude. Most people wouldn’t chase those pronghorn a mile or more back into a property. If they cannot see their truck they don’t go any further. Always good to self evaluate, a shave and a hair cut or complete miss is much better than a gut shot. Ever since I heard the podcast I have been stoked to see the video series. I dream of chasing pronghorn in as many states that I can without having to hire an outfitter if possible. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve had that issue with my bow moving with wind. I switched to a longer stabilizer with more front weight and it helped a ton! Love the channel too boys. Thanks for the content.
That would do nothing though, seems like it's you that doesnt know how to loosen a lug. You're stronger than your own weight, they would just be standing on the bar not budging.
Lol I don't know what you torque your lugs to but at 160lbs wet I've never had a problem bouncing the end of the wrench with some body weight and them breaking loose. I'm no professional at tires or hunting. Y'all need rock climbing or snow making advice hmu
Another fine video. It's cool to see you guys branch out to other game. Can't say I'm surprised to see those low misses. I was thinking back in the ranch fairy episodes that there was gonna be some low misses or brisket wounds this year. Gotta find that happy medium right in the middle. Bout 420-430 with a COC broadhead and you're good to go. Those extremes are just too cult like.
I love your aggressive Hunter style. I would like to hear more about the arrow set up placement and damage to the animals to follow up on what you did with Ranch Fairy. Also you should think about trying the EZV bow site. I’m shooting targets out to40 and 50 yards and I’ve never used a laser rangefinder.
Y’all need to come bow hunt Kentucky. Season started the 5th an ends Jan 18th. There’s nice deer down here but the tricky part is finding the big mature bucks. It’d be good set of videos to see y’all attempt it. But love the videos they keep me in the stands a lil longer on these slow early season warm days.
15:32 - Don't pull up on the tyre iron, you'll give your damn self a hernia. Put it 180 degrees over, and stand on it. Bounce if you gotta. You'll crack the thread in a heartbeat. 🔧🚙👍🇦🇺
How do you guys feel about a 483 grain arrow moving at around 235fps? Will it penetrate a whitetail’s shoulder? Shooting a Magnus Stinger Buzzcut at 150 grains.
I have never ever gone pronghorn hunting nor probably will I love to but don’t think it will happen but I’ve read and watched a lot of videos and best results is find a water hole like the last video had in it loving the videos
Letting down when you are at full draw on an animal is TOUGH. You men are accomplished bowhunters and still learning. Excellent content and teaching points.
I live in Florida a few years back I went to Wyoming and the prong were everywhere like crows here in Florida ha they were in the parking lots of stores in people's yards just everywhere but it seemed to me that as long as you were on the move and didn't really pay them any attention they didn't seem to spook but if you walked towards them the whole area would empty out lol and this was around Lusk and Gillette Wyoming but it's sure was nice out there have some Kinfolk out there nice hunting guys
I’m so jealous man up hear in Saskatchewan the draw system is kinda wierd it’s really hard to get tags for antelope elk moose and mule deer. You get 1 white tail every year for sure though
As everyone’s comments above mine and on all your videos as well you you guys are the best at doing what you do. One problem you do not appear to consider yourselves as athletes and as such you do not appear to be are not hydrating and feeding your bodies on hunt days (competition days) as the athletes you are. Once you think you are dehydrated it’s too late. Hydration starts the day before. You guys are in the endurance athletes, you should consider looking to those other sports like pro cycling (Tour de France stuff). They have great hydration and energy boost packets. Like Jelly Beans you can get special energy Jelly Beans in resealable packets. Always wear a hydration pack. To avoid dehydration you need to drink small amounts often, ever 15 to 20 minutes. You also need to think of recovery, peanut butter (l make homemade very easy, take 20 love to show you how) chocolate milk, both are great recovery foods. Just something for you to think about to help you be at your best. If you. Want to know more let me know.
This was unlike "KZ" (Killa' Zach) who, normally when placing the bead on a prey, ends up with the catch. "KZ" is my category of killas along with the grandmaster, the SLOCKmaster himself, Tim Wells. In several years, when Tim retires, "KZ" will obtain the title as, "the Slockmaster". And TED, having been in the same stable, will provide the "backup" as the "XO.".
I tried to watch every video so sorry if I missed it, but who are the two other guys hunting, I see the one guy is the THP brand manager who is Hayden? Love watching your videos just wish sometimes when some of these other people were on they were maybe a little more introduced
You boys need to scrap this 100,000 grain arrows and 50,000 grain broadheads and get something a little more mid weight and flatten your trajectory. Those goats rarely let you get 30 yds and closer.
@@joegagnon6330 as am I, I have just learned that it is a mistake to go to either extreme with your arrow weight (light or heavy). I shoot Easton FMJ 340s and a 100 grain g5 deadmeat mechanical broad head, have shot 4 deer with this set up (2 mature bucks) all double shoulder and complete pass through. Had I been using a similar set up my arrow would have blown threw and not efficiently used the energy. Making clean kills is all about transferring the energy from your weapon to the animal in the most lethal way and that is not being accomplished when 80% of your energy is expended on the ground behind your target. Just some stuff I've learned in about 15 years of bowhunting. Good luck this season hope you kill a brut!
@@harrisonbrown3902 everything you just said is true... of bullets. Transferring energy means nothing in archery and is counterproductive. Arrows cut, not shock or bludgeon. Pass throughs make big cuts with big holes on either ends and lots of cut up stuff in between. If you want to see arrows transfer energy to their target, go watch all the yahoos with goofy paint on their faces sink their mechanicals two inches into the back of a deer.
@@harrisonbrown3902 arrows absolutely do not kill animals by transferring energy to the target. They kill by cutting vital organs and blood vessels. Effectiveness is determined by the amount of bleeding your arrow causes or the damage it does to lung tissue. You can try to increase effectiveness by creating a larger cut, but that limits your penetration, especially when your arrow contacts bone. The most sure way to increase lethality is to make sure your arrow penetrates all the way through the animal, causing damage to both lungs and more blood vessels. Any energy carried by the arrow into the dirt behind the animal is in no way wasted, because it wasn't going to increase tissue damage to begin with. Arrows are not like bullets. They don't have enough energy to create hydrostatic shock.
@@Waty8413 @Art Trumbo granted they aren't the same as a bullet, but if you are only using a 2 bladed 1 inch cut head that knifes right through and baries 18in in the ground behind the deer you certainly could have gone with a bigger head and cut a bigger hole. As I said before both extremes are wrong and definitely do not recommend ultra light arrows and 3in cut mechanical. Also this has to be tailored to your target if your hunting pigs then by all means weight and penetraituon are your best friends, but in regards to whitetail and other light boned big game animals its simply not necessary and a waste of usable energy.
Looks like you've got to be in pretty good shape to be a camera man lol. Bc in the blink of and eye you will be in a full sprint. Ive noticed Zack most likely to take off running on you. Lol
RU sure these guys played football. Look like cross country runners except full gear carrying bows cameras in 100 degree heat. Only wish I was in that kinda shape. Kudos to them
Still loving all the content you guys put out! Just went on my first archery antelope hunt last week in Oglala National Grasslands in NE. Didn't come home with one but saw plenty and had a blast. Best of luck and. Hope you get one. And happy Hunting!
Was it just me or was that first buck already several feet out of the arrow path by the time the arrow got there?? Keep ya chin up i feel like the next stalk is the one.
I’m cringing watching the tire change, set the tire iron up to break the lugs loose going down, then stand on the wrench and use the body to break it loose.
I’m not picking on anyone, I don’t wanna see one of these guys get hurt pulling a muscle in the back over changing a tire, proper technique doesn’t just go into shooting a bow
Can we talk about the tire change??? So maybe next time not throw your back out trying to pull the tire iron and just place the iron where you can step on it.
