I think the reason I love TSFH so much is... well let's be honest, there are a LOT of reasons. But setting their mastery of music theory aside, what makes TSFH special to me is that there is always a story in their music. Each song is a battle, a discovery, an adventure. And they don't even have to say a word. The story will tell itself.
Agreed it is the amount of emotions portrayed in each song sents you through a roller coaster of emotions and images creating the effect absolutely wonderful
In 2019 my marching band sampled parts of this in our show. It was my freshman year, my first time in a marching show, and I'm so glad we used this. I will never forget how it feels to work your ass off everyday and see it pay off in the stadium, and the absolutely epic music just boosts that feeling tenfold. Currently a junior as I'm writing this, and we missed a full season due to covid. It feels great to be back with our new show, it's been a great season. Next year's my last, and I'm gonna miss this.
3:40 to 4:14 is actully making a feeling of intense, and end it end it when it reached the maximum. that's a great one that I liked , but 1:33 is the main body so that the part I love more here.
I have just spent 2 weeks of intense epic music listening looking for this song! I remember the first few times I heard in random playlists I didn't care for it too much, but over time I grew to love it without even learning the name of the author...and then one day that intro tune got stuck inside my head and then I just couldn't find it anymore...this is so fucking cathartic...bless you TSFH
I love correcting assignments from my students while listening to TSFH. It feels like it becomes the most important thing in the world, and I feel like a hero doing it. Haha
Most underrated TSFH song, and my favorite. Remember when this came out when I was in 7th grade almost 8 years ago, blasted this while eating breakfast!
0:06 you end up somewhere in a big jungle in Southamerica. 0:26 after a long and exhausting walk you are surprised as you stop in front of an big stone wall, you try to find a way past the wall 0:47 you finally found a mysterious old gate, but it seems like it can be opened. You enter it and the gate closes behind you. Now you are in a room without much light. Luckily you see that there is some kind of corridor. You follow that Corridor. 1:08 you end up before another huge gate. You see daylight shining trough the holes in the gate. 1:20 you are curious but also afraid to open the Gate. But you have to! 1:28 the Gate is heavy to push but...finally you are outside again but the Sun makes you blind for a few seconds. 1:31...you can't believe what you have found after your eyes have adjusted to the sunlight again. 1:33...*EL DORADO*
" *Many tales were told about this place.* Poem were written in it's glory, prayers said in it's name. Like a legend that never dies, 'The Golden' was in our hearts for hundreds of years. A secret wish, a distant dream of wealth and fame... I remember the countless nights I have indulged myself in thoughts about it and it's treasures. Oh, how wonderful it was... I am not the type who gets excited so quickly. But this time I could not hold myself. Not in the awe of this glorious wonder. We have journied for months, leaving no stone unturned in this endless desert, and finally, we are here. The mighty golden walls rise far up to the sky above, blindingly shining in the sun. The ancient rusty gate slowly rises up as we approach, and as we get through, a breathtaking view is revealed to us: Buildings, roads, walls - even trees - all made of pure gold, reflecting the rays of the sun everywhere. Thousands of them, spreading all the way to the horizon. None of us could find the words to say. The streets were empty - not a living soul was here, but the prescense of a long lost empire was felt. Great things have happened here, between those walls of gold. We just stood there, shocked, trying to contain the amazing picture in front of us. This is it. We have made it. This is 'The Golden One'. This is *El Dorado*. " **Thanks for reading! Check out my Google+ page to read more of my writings!** plus.google.com/112324906659997671696
My marching band is doing a song primarily based of of this song and I could not be more excited. This is supposed to be the 3rd movement of our show, Outlaw. Let the show begin. #OutlawMVMB2016
I still remember where I was when I first heard this song several years ago, as well as the time of day. The beginning was kinda odd, but MAN...I love everything about this song, now. The layers, the power!!! Definitely my favorite TSFH song, if not my favorite of all songs.
I've listened to this countless times, but I can never get over the sheer power of this piece! (Especially the horns blasting at 1:33) It must have been great to record this piece with a live orchestra!
God, at about 1:30-ish, I can actually visualize the buildings towering overhead, with futuristic vehicles zooming back and forth between them. Truly a masterpiece, and definitely one of my favorites of your pieces.
its a whole movie intro " The Dark Eye" El Doradus on the new Continent or Dungeons and Drageons Forgotten Realms ! Queztacotl climbing up the 13 Stair Pyramid !
The true image of this song is obscure. That is, until you have been with TSFH through time. This is a song of nostalgia, you'll only truly feel the connection after stumbling upon this music, hitting the bottom of your life, reaching the new top, and coming back to this once more.
I find it very interesting how people have different views of which part in this piece they consider to be the best. Many have said it's 1:32, some say 0:26. Personally though, my favourite part is the beginning. So weird and initially unlikeable, but memorable, and that's the point. I can't think of how any other part of the song (or any song from TSFH) sounds, because it reaches a point where everything sounds too much the same. All I remember is that it sounds amazing and inspiring, but too similar. For the beginning, however, it's distinct and different and plays on repeat in my head, enticing me to listen to the whole thing again. :) Hey guys thanks for the replies; it's nice to read other peoples' opinions :)
The violin at beggining is just really catchy and for a people who listen for the first time this music it is really really nice... the music is just an history, an universe...
This has always been my favorite Two Steps From Hell song. In fact, it's the very first song I downloaded on my first phone years back. And I always listen to it when I watch lightsaber duels.
0:05 Hero is being chased by a small gang through the marketplace. 0:26 Chopper flies overhead and opens fire on the hero. 1:08 Enemy pops around the corner. 1:10 Another enemy jumps from the alleyway balcony. 1:12 The next... 1:15 Final enemy comes out of hiding. The hero is now surrounded. They ask him to surrender. 1:33 Hero uses the fighting skills he learned from his dead father... the man whom he is seeking to avenge. He takes the out the enemies... every last one. 2:15 The United States military arrives via helicopters and transport vehicles. The battle is won... so he thought. 2:55 The enemy forces have not yet been defeated... more are coming. 3:36 The enemies realize what they're up against and flee... they are outnumbered 5 to 1. 3:53 ... all except one. The man who killed his father in cold blood... He walks toward the hero, unarmed. 4:14 The hero lifts his pistol... "You deserve no less." The hero says. He aims, and fires.
Jack Patterson Exactly, I've made many different types of fighting videos but never a full fledged movie and its all there just need someone to coordinate moves and music and things like that
I sincerely love these guys' music. Every track has an epic scene associated with it in my mind. For example. In the beginning as the string is playing it's discordant tune I see a deer running through the woods. Seconds later a man clad in armor bursts through the underbrush running the same direction. He seems to be chasing the deer. The man and deer break into a clearing and the man turns his head to look behind him and right as the base kicks in a shadow resbling a classical Western style dragon is shown in pursuit of the man. For brevity's sake, there are multiple cuts as the man tries to escape, but eventually he is caught as a cliff. He turns draws his sword and faces his pursuer as the massive dragon lands as the music picks up. Then right when the main chkrus hits an arrow zooms out of the periphery and pierces the dragons eye followed by a second heavily armed and armored knight. Remainder of the song is filled with an epic fight.
As I was playing Minecraft a few days ago while listening to this song, this random story came to my mind: A brave and adventurous young player is walking across the landscape, with a large mountain building up in front of him. He decides to climb up the mountain but as he reaches the top, he realizes that the 'mountain' is actually a volcano. He notices a chest, located very close to the lava lake at the bottom. As he goes down into the crater, he hears footsteps. With his sword in his hand, he approaches the chest, when all of the sudden he gets a hit from behind. He nearly falls into the lava lake, but can save himself by hanging himself onto a stone. As the two battle themselves, the lava starts to become active and begins to rise. In the threat of being devoured by the lava, the two decide to stop the fight and work together. After the two sucessfully exit the crater, the volcano erupts, shooting out lava everywhere. The two players go into hiding, and our main protagonist sees his former enemy for the first time in clear vision. He is shocked to see, that the other player does not have armor nor a weapon. As he asks why he hit him, the player said that he fell into the crater and wanted to ask for help, so he punched him in the back. The protagonist understands him, and they become great friends shortly after.
I suffer from depression since the COVID pandemia. As many other, I guess. This song is for me a kind of call to rise up again. Thank you, Thomas, thank you TSFH, I love you
Robert Fernandez so, unless you can live on something with no solid surface, and in temperatures hot enough to create enough light to be seen in millions of miles away...
This was the first theme that I heard of TSFH, I was on a class doing my task while listening epic music on RU-vid and then El Dorado appears. I loved it immediately and I couldn't stop of listen TSFH music since then.

Definitely one of the best TSFH songs ever. Everytime I listen to this, it feels like living in the sky(world). It also reminds me there will better times and always hope for a better future.
I can't believe this was released 11 years ago. Where did the time go... This piece is still absolutely amazing though, and that's an understatement OTL I can hardly breathe for the beauty ;~;
For the win is up there too, but not as high as El Dorado, and Blackheart. My favorite songs in skyworld would have to be 1. Blackheart, 2. El Dorado, 3. Winterspell, 4. For the Win, 5. Breathe
The whole album is fantastic, and its probably my favorite album out of all the TSFH albums. Also I wanted to see if its just me. Does skyworld (The song not the album :P) sound like the sonic 06 main theme to you? I'm just curious. Because whenever I hear it that's exactly what it sounds like.
Omg i almost stopped listening cause the beggining was something so diferent from the music i use to like but somehow it was kinda of interesting so i decided to wait and then 1:32 OMG HOLY BATMAN, i was blown away by this masterpiece of epicness!!! Now this song is one of my favorites cause is just mixture of impossibles creating an unique MAGNIFICIENT sound omg!!!! Bergensen you're genius! 💖
Used to listen to this song on my Ipod when I was in middle school. It will always remind me of my best friend Owen and I and all the adventures we had together in our small town- where there was nothing to do, but we had our imaginations. I look back on those memories and see them as an epic classic western movie.
