" It's impossible to have all genres in one song." Thomas Bergersen : "yes that's impossible" "yes, I thought so!" Thomas Bergersen : "No its name is impossible"
Me: I paid for the whole speedometer, I'm gonna use the whole speedometer Thomas Bergerson: I paid for the whole orchestra, I'm gonna use the whole orchestra
@@samwise14sp same here, was way too much emotional specially at the start of the concert (TSFH music has been an inspiration through many tough times and to listen it live for the very first time was an emotional and exhilarating experience)
Beato te che ci sei stato,io mi sarei alzata in piedi e poi sarei sarei rimasta stesa sulle poltroncine. 3 giorni per riprendermi se assisto ad un Live di Questo Livello

Why let sadness destroy you, When you can destroy sadness? Stay happy, think of the good times, and revive them and relive them, for you do not deserve to go through depression and you deserve to have a great life instead.
Two steps into hell And four steps back to Valhalla I will show you how it feels to bear witness to ultimate POWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! :P lmao
When someone tells Thomas you cannot jam pirate, epic orchestra, metal, opera, Celtic, rock, techno, and synth music into one song. That's impossible. All he says is, "Already did it. Thanks for the name."
RosemarieCat1701 Sarah R Come and dance to it! They're back! Ah...Vanquish had me wavering, Asclepius had me close to despair (did you see my review?), and let's not even talk about the Anthologies, but for the first time in about a year or more, they've fully met my expectations of perfection. Welcome back. 😊
He dislike the concept of Music genres, which he thinks limits music to certain structures for the purpose of classification. For this reason he generally avoids following genres and industry conventions and follows his own intuition instead

Guys, if you can go to see them live, DONT MISS IT!!! I saw them two days ago in Budapest, it was an epic journey, awesome show with so many talented musicians. Letsgo Two Steps From Hell!!!
Paris yesterday for me. I still can't believe how incredible the show was ! I was not especially liking this song "Impossible" before the concert, but it was before ! In live they made this song become totally crazy !!
I'm a CGI artist, I make things, albeit within a specific program. For years I have been listening to Two Steps from hell every time I work; and this, this new release right here, is the epitome of imagination fuel. This is the type of symphony that has the power to create worlds.
Naa you artists understand nothing its the feeling when you are doing your math for University and you are listening to this for hours and feeling that you are doing something epic and heroic in solving all those problems ... sorry for my bad english
Some men's greatest regret is that they only have but 1 life to give for their country. My greatest regret is that I only have a finite number of years alive to listen to TSFH music.
I started listening Thomas Bergersen's music about 4 years ago. Im pretty sure I have heard some of his songs at least over 100 times maybe even closer to 1000. When I first heard songs like Children of the Sun, Victory, Final Frontier, Illusions, Aura and Sun&Moon I replayed the songs over and over for weeks. I always have 2-5 songs I listen to for like a month and then change them. Now when I replay a song I always remember the feelings and thoughts I had back then when I used to listen to that song a lot. I have so many memories attached to his songs.
Same, im going on year 3 of their music and its like a drug. The only difference is whenever you build a tolerance to one drug Thomas comes out with a better. Manages to outdo himself every time. Its so amazing.
t567y- Sun and final frontier are my favourites too. The vocals in Sun are nothing less than ethereal, while the layering and presentation of final frontier sounds amazing.
Back in college, me and my buddies would listen to 2 Steps From Hell and draw scenarios based on the music. You can literally make 5 artworks from this track alone

The works of Two Steps From Hell can be compared to those of Hans Zimmer. We discover them, we listen to them in a loop, then we wait for the next album with impatience. In the meantime, we listen to other music of the composer, which we appreciated without hanging too much. Then we rediscover it, and we end up loving them as much as our favorite compositions. Finally, what makes a great composer is not only to make masterpieces for a certain time, but for eternity
I'm sorry but what you say does not make much sense. TSFH is a very good band, but they only do epic music, which may seem redundant for people who do not particularly like this type of music. As a result, it is the same for all types of music, singers and composers. And frankly, Hans Zimmer is not a composer who always makes the same music, he follows the rhythm of the times and adapts himself with his own inspiration. The music of the Lion King is not the same as Interstellar for example. Otherwise it is as boring as John Williams, James Horner, Ennio Morricone, Thomas Bergensen and TSFH .... Admit it would be a shame to think so ...
TSFH has done so much more than just epic music though, they've done stuff ranging from romantic comedy to horror to drumscapes to neoclassical to electronic/EDM opera pop. If Bergersen and Phoenix finally decide to break into film scoring, I have no doubt they'd be as versatile and accomplished as Zimmer, if not even more. Their epic music background means they write actual melodies, which seems to be sorely lacking in many modern film scores.
I wanted to highlight the musical versatility of Hans Zimmer. But I totally agree with you about the versatility of TSFH and Bergensen. That's why I made the comparison in my first post because they are people capable of composing masterpieces, whatever the style and the time.
I’ve heard this song live twice. And this time people stood up as soon as they heard the first notes. This song is clearly starting to be the real masterpiece and awaited song of TSFH, even if the “old classics” are still popular. There is just something really particular with this song and the liveband.
It is *impossible* for anything to possibly rival this masterpiece. Thomas, i am starting to doubt that you are even human, but more rather, a music god.
Meanwhile America's top 40 billboard "songs" are all still sharing the same exact four chords that they did a decade ago. On behalf of the pockets of humanity left on our dead-brained planet, thank you Thomas.
That awkward moment when the main theme of this piece is literally a case of those same infamous 4 chords you're referring to. Also r/lewronggeneration
Thomas... Your compositions are so sublime... Especially when it comes to transitions... It's insane... You understand musical epicity and beauty way too well. You're definitely one of the best composers to ever live and you're also definitely one of my greatest inspirations to become a composer. Thanks for all the hard work you've done and the delightful pieces you've gifted to us.
The waves crash, and the timbers creak their song in tune with the Ocean's beat. The storm is brutal, but the crew is used to these rough northern storms. They push through, holding hope as the waves crash on and on, that they'll see shore again. Until that -- thing -- came. It was a monster of the sea, a legend of the tales of Beowulf. Its massive tenticles reaching out from the seas to encircle the ship, and bring it inward to the depths. But the crew were stronger than such beasts. They fought, with sword, spear, tooth, and nail, and they showed that beast what a man of the north was made of. The men of the ice lands, men of the cold, barren wastes. The Impossible, their fury unleashed.
Ramseas119 just go and play dnd already, the community is lacking game masters with the patience and passion to give their players some really good descriptions. Also, you can play two steps from hell on the background like, all the time
Honestly this song reminds me of a great gathering for battle, there are so many different sounding parts that pop in but in the end despite the different tones they return to that same chorus/melody, its like the different groups of sailors or nations coming together to help battle the one enemy. It starts off with a humble group who are thrown unexpectedly against the enemy that has tortured their nation. Yet there is no fear in their hearts, no fear in this song. For a time the waves calm with the arrival of new ships and then the battle begins again as the raging monster fights with more brutality than ever before
I tend to disappear into my own private realm when I hear this song. And I tend to not even realize what I am thinking of when I hear this, but I know it’s amazing. Thank you TSFH for letting me express this part of me.
This is my favourite thing about TSFH: they somehow just keep getting better. I remember back in the day I thought that To Glory (from Invincible) was their best and that it would be difficult to top it. And they did with Archangel's Norwegian Pirate. I then though that it would be really difficult to top that. And then they did with Skyworld's El Dorado. At this point I thought that it was impossible to top it. Then Battlecry came out and changed everything. Don't get me wrong, there are very few TSFH songs that I dislike, and thats like 1 in 50. But to me there are only 2 or 3 songs per album that I can listen to forever and never get bored. Battlecry on the other hand was different. I consider all of that album a masterpiece. Victory, Flight of the Silverbird, Never Back Down, Cannon in D Minor, Star Sky, Battleborne are just a few examples of what Battlecry has to offer. But I guess Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix are friends with God himself, because they just went and made an even BETTER song. My mind cannot fathom that. I'm just speechless.
I've loved this song ever since I first heard it as Two Steps From Hell's channel trailer. I'm absolutely amazed at how someone could make such great music and in so many styles. 0:00: Adventure 1:51: Celtic 2:39: Pirate 4:02: Electric Guitar 4:58: Techno 6:34: Choral 7:06: Vocal 7:42: Rock
RosemarieCat1701 Sarah R I did exactly that just now! My jaw dropped open and I stopped breathing until I pressed play, and then I'm pretty sure it all came out in an excited squeak. XD

Now listen close, now listen well I have a tale to tell It starts not here, in mortal life but starts two steps from hell Two steps you say, Two steps indeed! Tho' Demons sought the fray. We fixed our spears and set our shields. For none shall bar our way! Two steps from hell, Two steps from pain And two from straits of blood We knew that should we there be slain we'd walk where Gods have trod. We saw the blood, we saw the fear and still we battled on. our foe had asked, "why stay ye here? when half your men are gone." I heard the cry, I heard the shout We answered in reply We took his taunt and hurled it back "We've come to win or die!" I see that day, I see that night that night where demons screamed Where shadows danced and comrades died all hope was lost, it seemed. We faced the lord, we faced that foe the last, the lord of sin. My friend and I, the last to stand His horde had slain my kin. That night I cried, That night I prayed for strength to carry on For might to fight and will to stand for hope when hope was gone. I stood with hope, I stood with strength I stood and swung my sword. for the souls of my brethren I struck and then I roared We'll not give up, we'll not give in We'll always fight this tide. I swung my sword and with a groan That prince of Darkness died I sat in blood, I sat in gore and i knew that we'd won We'd slain the beast and lived to tell the tale of Veldann's fall.

“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ― Muhammad Ali source: www.goodreads.com/quotes/121663-impossible-is-just-a-big-word-thrown-around-by-small
This song speaks to me, It speaks to me about a comeback, It speaks to me to achieve the impossible, It speaks to me to get my beast unleashed, It speaks to me to destroy all the hurdles, It speaks to me not to survive but to thrive, It speaks to me of my own legacy, It speaks to me of my pride, It speaks to me of the miracle that I am, It speaks to me of the things that I am going to achieve, It speaks to me of the glory in the future, And hence, Thy shall commence the great comeback, And reach the top! --K
Experiencing this live in Kraków was unique, breathtaking and had a bit of madness in it. Much respect for all musicians for this performance. Cannot wait for their next tour.
Thanks to this, I have been able to complete a battle in my sixth novel and nearly write thirty pages in under three days. Thank you so much for this truly amazing mix!
I thought Flight of the Silverbird was your magnum opus and would be forever unbeatable. But damn. You guys have raised the bar higher once again. I can't wait for more!
