I do believe I feel a story coming on... 0:00-1:15) A young man and his crew are hard at work getting ready for the long voyage ahead of them. They want to explore the world and add new countries to their ever-expanding map of the world, such is their job as mapmakers and sailors. Before they depart, the young man stops and says goodbye to his wife and child. He leans down to tell his daughter "I will be back, but if not, come find me." The daughter nods, unsure at such a young age at the gravity of those words. Then, he boards the ship and the two watch it disappear over the horizon. 1:16-1:52) The years pass and the two await his return, with the mother growing more worried. The daughter continually thinks back to that last moment that she saw her father. As she grows up, she remembers the promise she made: "I must find him." 1:53-2:52) Today's the day. It took some effort, but the daughter has finally gotten enough money to get her own ship and crew. She is 23 years old. "It's almost like that moment all those years ago all over again," her mother chokes out between tears. Her daughter hugs her right before the ship is supposed to take off. "I'll be all right, mother. I'll find him and bring him home." She boards and watches her mother and the shoreline slowy shrink into the distance. 2:53-4:18) A few days at sea pass and things run smoothly. However, one day, a crew member alerts everyone to the coming of a storm. "We must sail into it!" cries the daughter to the astonishment of the crew. She refuses to listen to anyone's pleas against it, instead ordering them to prepare the best they can. Night falls and the storm attacks the ship with all its might. Rain and large waves toss everyone around, but the daughter continues to run all over the ship, shouting orders. "Watch out!" cries someone and a wave suddenly splashes onto the deck, rendering everyone blind momentarily. 4:19-5:26) Suddenly, the waves grow calmer and the rain lets up a little. Everyone blinks rapidly, looking for the captain of the ship. "She's gone!" they realize. On a small raft a short distance behind the boat, but out of sight of the confused crew, sits the daughter. Clutching a map to her chest, she turns away from the ship. She'd already known of the storm. She'd already known that she would leave her crew while their backs were turned. It was time for her to go on alone. "I will find you, father," she whispers into the night air. (EDIT: Thank you everyone for your kind words and likes! You should write a book using 2SFH music as an inspiration, no joke. Save that thing and write down/copy to somewhere safe and do the rest somehow connecting the stories whenever you feel inspired like today

I remember when I first started to listen to this album, with this being the first song. I was already excited seeing that Merethe was featured here, meaning that she had come back. And then, the moment I heard those beautiful violas come in, I knew, Thomas was back. TSFH was back. This album had brought them back. And then, soon after, I heard Merethe make her entrance, and she was spectacular as always. Merethe is back too. #AllHailTSFH
I listened to it at midnight, right after it had come out, and was almost brought to tears at it. First time I've almost cried at a TSFH song. #AllHailTSFH
long_schlong_silver It's the first song in the RU-vid playlist, but I've looked up the album today. It is Unleashed, but I did think that it was Impossible too.
That last part really calls to me, makes me feel like I'm in a different place in a different time way beyond what I can see at this moment, perhaps one day I shall be there and say "aha! that was the feeling I felt ages ago"..

not gonna lie, this isn't really the type of music that i listen to, even if i enjoy two steps from hell. I heard this one in a big one with multiple songs from them and honestly, i ended up rewinding the video just to hear this part too many times. The music starts off calming. it makes me feel like a journey itself. It's like you expect a final stand, and you're just barely going through it, then the music calms down and you think it's over, but there is more coming and the music just makes it seem as if people are gathering the last of what they have just to keep on fighting. just like the struggles in life. Life gets tough and you think that your situation is finally over, so it all calms down, but then, something new pops up. You're already tired, but you remember why you held on for so long and you give it an extra push to keep going until you make it through. This song really gives me goosebumps and a warm glow over my entire body, but at the same time, it also makes me emotional at times. Honestly, i love how much feelings this can awaken in a person and also how weak or strong a song can make you feel.
This song just fits one of my characters absolutely perfectly. Thank you, Thomas Bergersen and Meredith Soltvedt, for giving me so much more to work with regarding my own worlds

Somewhere, out there, there should be a light. The light that represents the purpose of your life. Every person you meet is an obstacle for you, but these persons build your character, your personality. Life is not as easy as it seems to be, life is like a war between concepts and ideologies. Your heart is the battlefield, your mind is your weapon, your words are your shield. If you can protect your soul from becoming a dark one you actually win the battle. Love is the key of success, but don’t give your love to everyone because there are a lot of people ready to destroy your heart. Try to love yourself as you are, with all your qualities and drawbacks, with all your heart. Be your own critic and your own supporter and maybe you will find another person who fits you. A person who deserves your love and your kindness. A person who loves you as you are. Believe in your own dreams son, no one can stop you… from finding the light.
This is the music I played after I returned home after my mother's funeral. Every time I hear it it takes me back to that day. This music perfectly captures the struggle with dementia, and final surrender to death. It is the most fitting, beautiful and heart breaking composition I could ever imagine.
In ❤ with TSFH! The music is so divine. Totally worth listening to even on a bad day. Their music lifts me up and frees my mind to go on an adventure with my characters that I created for my book.
