Proof that classical music and metal are more closely related than many people think. How else do you explain the fact that thousands of metalheads celebrate an orchestra on the main stage in Wacken? It was a pleasure to see you live ♥️
always found them both great to listen to. especially from the like of two steps from hell, hidden citizens is another I tend to chuck on.. dont get me fron theres a lot of classical thats an absolut bore. but the epic stuff is just... well epic..
I think the complexity of metal and classical is very similar. Logically there is boring classical music. The same applies to metal. But epic songs in particular, which are often used in film music, are very similar to Meral in terms of structure. I always find that fascinating.
Saulius is an absolute machine, before seeing him live I've never quite realised how important that lead melody is and how many instruments he switches between!
Absolutely insane how they don't just play, they perform! I love Impossible, but I never imagined it being played like this, almost like a heavy metal band.
I think they played like this to honor the festival-goers who are most metal music fans especially that Wacken is one of the biggest annual metal music festivals in the world.
@@christianrakotomalala8284 I have to disagree with you. Everywhere TSH have performed, play the same piece. Unfortunately, Impossible was mixed very poorly on the album. A lot of things are lost there that only really come across live.
My grandfather had played for 25 years in the Hungarian orchestra and I was sort of forced to visit some of his concerts. Obviously at that time I hated my life because I thought classical music is boring as hell. Since then I have discovered dozens of different genres from hip-hop to finnish pagan folk metal and I can appreciate good music when I hear one. I truly believe it is because classical music.
I visited the first live tour and one of the things that I found so incredible about them was just how active and engaged the entire group was. They where all so full of energy it was hilarious. The chor in the background was constantly hyping up the audience and where goofing off, it was just so magical. The music is godlike thats a no brainer, but the peformance made it just a thousand times more epic.
Gawd Damn! The confidence that radiates out of this piece is sheer beauty. Absolutely stunning to see this played at a level like this live on stage. ❤🤘👏👏
It's crazy to see how Two Steps From Hell started as an industrial trailer music production company over 17 years ago to the powerhouse musical juggernaut it is today. Shoot, I just realized that it's been 10 years since I first discovered these guys, their music is that incredible!
It's been about the same for me. I stumbled on one of their songs on RU-vid and was immediately enamored. Though it was a few years before I learned of Thomas Bergensen. He is a brilliant composer and I love that he's a self-taught musician. I will be a fan of his for the rest of my life.
The setup, the outfits, the passion, the absolute energy radiating from the stage. There is no other way to perform this masterpiece. Thank you so much for sharing it. I couldn't see it live, though I got to experience through this. Thank you.
The drop at 7:45 is the best thing I have ever heard in the history of bloody music, Saulis' scream was a soul-shredding experience, I have this thing on repeat, I have listened to it hundreds of times, SHEER beauty
Scream off! The contestants are, Saulius, Fran Walsh, Masako Nozawa, Sean Schemmel, and Lawrence "MasakoX" Simpson. And the winner, by a landslide, SAULIUS!!!!!
Dude holy shit I'm glad you posted this comment because I just experienced this for the first time (never heard a live version of this song before) and it just blew my mind. Holy shit I am living. I did not expect that and had to scroll to the comments to make sure at least one other person reacted the way I did to this lmao.
I hope TSFH will return to Wacken one day and this has not been a one time event. I have been on their tour in Munich and it was so annoying to be glued to this chair, because that is how classical concerts are supposed to be. Let me tell you my friends... TSFH is best enjoyed standing, clapping, jumping and shouting. They belong onto the festival grounds and not into the classical concert halls. A beast like this should not be kept in a cage.🤘
You should go to Lyon/Paris. At the beginning it was like that but after a while the crowd (mainly the biggest fans in the first rows) couldn't resit it anymore and stood up and jump. Specially in a song such powerful like this it was a whole party instead of a classical concert. Such a unforgettable experience.
I was there, in the rain and the mud 😁 one of the most special experiences I've had with live music, and I've had many. I had goosebumps during the whole set!
There is rain and mud every second year. But 2023 was the worst by far. Not all people reached the Festival. They were stuck in the swamp. And it is sold out every year. Hard to get Tickets.
I'm so happy they're posting these live performances. I love seeing all the moving parts, the different instruments, and of course, a huge group of musicians just having the time of their lives on stage!
In Metal and in Classic is all about feeling. Two Steps of Hell are able to send your Mind and Soul on a wonderful Journey and I am very happy to know now, that they were in Wacken. I think it was just fantastic 🎉
I have a dream, my Loves....that although I live in Kenya, Africa, I'll get to attend one of your awesome live concerts - they are LIFE-CHANGING!.....😊
I love this.... when starting it with Flute sound... its like, lead you some place and giving you some courage... i really don't know HOW?? how you can do that... first time i heard this, i feel it, i feel i live in another world... This Song, gonna lead you to another dimension... Thank You for "IMPOSSIBLE" 👏👏👏
I saw you live this year, for the first time (in Prague). I travelled to Prague just to be able to do so (I'm from Portugal). It was one of the best experiences of my life.
It's so crazy, I can feel the music and the atmosphere. It's like flash fireworks. I can't find the exact words for it other than it's just incredible to watch. pure passion
"Your music is my go-to when I need motivation and inspiration. It's like a powerful force that propels me forward. Thanks for being a constant source of inspiration."
These musicians are all so talented!! And i love that they look like they're really enjoying their performance as well. It would be my dream to see this live
It is a unique experience, there's nothing else like it. I wasn't at Wacken but saw them in Brussels, this year and last year. I will go back to see them every time they come back, because it's so amazing and breathtaking! I have the full concert in Brussels of this year filmed and put on RU-vid, you'll find it in my recent videos.
1. two steps from hell is a hell of a band 2.the guys on stage looks land act like a rock/metal band. and i say that in a good way. i was very impressed with the stage performance. the headbanging and the killing riff/melody at 07:45 really rocked the house. well done guys
I've been listening to TSFH since before they got 1M subscribers. Seeing them getting this far to doing live events is so overwhelming and breath-taking. Impossible is my first ever track I've listened and it will always be the most beautiful track I've ever listened to in my entire life ❤❤❤
I have been waiting for this clip since July! When I watched it live (through my PC), I was roaring and crying. The most epic performance I have ever seen. Wacken has seen some of the greatest shows on earth. They have never seen anything like this before. Absolutely mind blowing, breath taking, and soul delighting. You all deserve to be so proud!! ❤❤❤
TO ALL MUSICIANS WHO WERE BULLIED WHEN THEY WERE KIDS because they were studying violin, piano, harp, flute and all kinds of instruments... well...look where some of them are now.... and the bullies watch on youtube thinking ooooh this is so awsome... Well, those who were bullied are on stage NOW and you sit in front of your laptop.... Karma...... Also, sometimes, once in decade or two come music geniouses : composers, vocalists or instrumentalists.... Well, having goosebumps and tears because i just watched and listend to this epic music that is vibrating in my bones, powerful, emotional and and so much more.... That is what genious musicians create : a whole range of powerful emotions that you can't contain. Not many are blessed with such talent.
I saw you guys in Amsterdam on the 4th of October 2023! I Loved every second of your magnificent, talented, engaging and wonderful performance! Can’t wait for your return! 🔝
