That's a hand up for me, I'm 52 and i have never owned a 4stroke nor will i ever due to running cost(and there not fun to ride either). I've raced 2stroke KX's since i was 16 and still at it now on my 2006 KX250. I've watched the 4stroke revolution take hold ever since the YZ400 and now in Australia there's a dramatic shift happening to the 2strokes we just need the Japanese to join in. Thanks to Yamaha for having the vision 👏
i’m with u man i love everything about 2 strokes the sound, smell, pipes, look, everything and the exhaust doesn’t stick out 7 feet like a 4 stroke. really wish all the known brands would come together to all make 2 strokes and be able to see the rise of them again
Hell yeah, i have an 2006 and the comments i get at the track is crazy. From older guy's that raced them to the young guy's that have never had the privilege to race them. Japan needs to give us a choice of engine.
You guys want news, check this.. A guy in Australia who currently owns the last ever manufacturered KX250 (2008) from the KHI (Kawasaki Heavy Industries) factory was the Bodyguard for one of the chairman's (Yoshinori Kanehana) daughter from 2006 onwards. He was advised he could contact the Chairman for any favor he wanted in the future for ensuring the safety of his daughter of which its understood in December before the virus commenced, he has spoken to someone about the possibility of remanufactuing two stroke motocross motorcycles. The question of can a new two stroke motorcycle be added to the current two stroke production line which a KX125, a KX250 (homologated to race 250 4s) and a KX350 (homologated for 450 4s) is currently undergoing DD (Due Diligence) to see if the costs and demand of products can be justified. There you go. 😉 You heard it...3rd... (sorry you didn't hear it first or second...just don't complain!)
Amazing result from an incredible collaboration,....wow. This very idea recently came to me regarding front and rear suspension changes to a pristine, unridden, 2003 KX250. It had a jetting change for an FMF pipe w/ a reed valve system but without getting to be ridden due to an unfortunate incident, and it was stored away. I cant decide if it should be a static keeper, or do things like we see here to it,...its that new and nice. The bike was prepped to go riding the next day back in 2004 when the guy bought it, that owner took his old bike out (one last time,) and crashed, then he apparently went on with what we all do,...life, but he gave up riding. Now today decisions need to be made, I really think it needs to be ridden. WWDBM do?? At a minimum this time machine has to be gone over just from sitting, but some forks which are compatible and a shock upgrade from the 17 year old versions should be a good start , as seen in this video, which is one helluva motivation to follow thru. Pristine Showroom Grade, a regular Tabula Rasa of possibilties..... Great Video Thanks!!
