I'm sure someone already commented, but for the Easy Cheese, you push against the white tip to one side (so aim the nozzle toward the cracker and then use your thumb to push against the nozzle). The cuts in the nozzle will make the cheese wavy as you squirt it on the cracker. I always loved it with Wheat Thins when I was younger, but it should go with whatever your favorite cracker is.

Hostess used to make a version of Devil Dogs back in the day, but they were called Suzie Q's . 😁😁

The Tootsie Rolls you opened were the chocolate flavored ones. You might have seen that they also offer the fruit flavored ones on the back of the package.

Tootsie Rolls are chocolate flavored Chewy taffy like candies BUT... they also make tootsie fruit chews which is their fruity version of these Chewy candies. Tootsie Rolls have been around for over 100 years & then they made other versions like the Fruit chews, Tootsie Pops which is a great tasting lollipop but has a tootsie roll in the center of the lollipop & they use to have a round version that was flat on top & bottom & didn't have a stick & they were called tootsie Drops if I remember right. Tootsie Rolls came in different sizes also I liked the big ones that were preferreded in sections & longer skinny ones that cost a penny. We would walk up to the 7-11( convenience store) spend a dollar & get a big bag of 100 pieces of penny candies. The 70's was a great time to grow up in. The back of the bag of Tootsie Rolls just advertises their other products sometimes. 😄😉🙂😍🍫🍬🍭

You were right the first time. Tootsie Roll (original) is a chocolate fudge like. Made more dense some way so it keeps better. I think their fruit chews were just recommended on the back of the package. Cat butt. LOL!!

For those Hostess orange cupcakes I pull the hard frosting topper off because it is just too sweet. Then it just takes like a delicious orange flavored twinkie.

Everything's (especially pop-tarts) are better (toasted) with BUTTER! ;) Oh, and peanuts are not nuts, they are Legumes, best toasted, salted, served in their shells! The cheese spread is easy. Just put your index finger on the top side (the pastic section) and push sidways to dispense. Best on a Triscuits or Keebler crackers! Oh, and put the fretos on your sloppy Joes or in your chilli!

All of my opinions on sweets are based on the few times I'm in the mood to eat sweets now. Used to eat lot more as a kid. Regular original Tootsie Rolls are chocolate. Corn Pops and Beaver Nuggets from Buc-ees taste similar. Love them, Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks but Cheerios have always been my favorite since I got teeth. Never heard of Funny Bones but it looks like that brand's version of Hostess Ho Ho's or Little Debbie's Swiss Roles. They all do different flavors of creme filling at times. Love Nutter Butters too. Ooo and the orange cupcakes. And Mounds. Yum. I love the spray cheese on Ritz, Club or Chicken In A Biscuit crackers or on celery. Hold the can with the nozzle pointed down at an angle and lightly push the nozzle at an angle. 😉

tootsie roll was invented in 1896 it's Froot Loops flavor. there is no fruit that actually tastes like that. i used to date a gal that was about 145 cm (4 feet 8 inches) and i am 6'3" (about 192 cm) she had a shirt that said, _"I'm not short. I am FUN SIZED!"_ (and she sure was!) baby ruth came first. Snickers is the copy.

we use to get Tootsie rolls in our military MRE,s because it was one of the few chocolates that wont melt in the desert heat

Hello from another Carol! I use the crumbled Doritos, any flavor, as a crumb coating for fish, pork chops, or chicken thighs. Just moisten the meat with an egg wash, or mayonnaise or yogurt so the crumbs will stick, then bake or fry!

Pop Tarts are good right out of the box, heated in the toaster, or even frozen! No butter! What?? Never ever heard of that

I wish American food companies wouldn't put so much sugar in things; they go way overboard on the sugar, to the extent that's all you can taste and there's no real flavor. I've cut WAY back on sugar because it gives me kidney stones and I try to seek out low sugar foods.

Recky is not a "big klutz"! he is a big lovable, sweet and smart guy. When big guys act against character they are often type cast as a klutz or a goof, but he is not either. His strength is his kindness and his sense of humor. We love Carol too.!

Baby Ruth is one of the oldest candy bars...was 1st produced in 1921 and Snickers in 1930...so no, Baby Ruth is not a knock-off of Snickers.

Fritos Corn Chips with Homemade Chili … great for winter days. Frito-Lays introduced a LOW Salt version, I got last one at grocer (last week).

I grew up liking chocolate tootsie rolls because I have terrible food allergies and taffies were a safe choice around Hollidays (Candy bowls and gift bags), and were widely available and often inexpensive. I remember having to give away all the "good candy" because it had nuts, strawberries, or passion fruit . Check American candy for a peanut symbol in a red circle on the bag, that means the candy is allergy safe. Now that I'm older and have more choices the lollipops are better as well as the fruit and vanilla versions of tootsies. Banana and Apple Laughy Taffy was a frequenter too. Side note on the Pop tarts, they are delicious If you toast the brown sugar flavor flavor

They make fruit chews too, those are just the regular chocolate ones(Tootsie Rolls). They make different sizes of the chocolate ones.

When I was a kid, Nutter Butters used to be in the shape of a peanut. I don't have any idea why they changed the shape to a more boring "cookie" shape. I used to dip one half of it in a glass of cold milk. You are right, the modern ones don't have much flavor. I think they git cheap with their recipe as many companies have done in this era.

I like to make a two layer vanilla or French vanilla cake and use the raspberry preserves in the center and a cream cheese icing on the outside. Has anyone sent Dove Chocolate yet? 😂😂😂😂 The cheese tip! We make Frito Pie here in the States. Fritos topped with chili and shredded or melted cheese. It's a great meal! "FUN SIZE" is what kids got at Halloween during trick or treat. Some people still prefer to hand out full size candy bars, parents like the fun size because they can hide some of the candy from their kids so they don't get hyped up on sugar on Halloween. 😅

Yes, try it lightly toasted & with butter on the top. We have so many different flavors but my favorite is the plain strawberry WITHOUT FROSTING & I toast it lightly & rub a little butter on it so good. I HATE the frosted ones, they're way too sweet yuk! We have FROZEN Toaster Strudel that is flakey pastry & thicker with great gooey fruit inside & gives u individual packets of sweet icing to drizzle on them. So much better than the pop tarts & they're warm after u toast them.

Those were the original Tootsie Rolls, kind of a chocolate caramel flavor, why it says fruit chews I have no idea. They also make bags of mixed fruity flavors.

When I was a kid you could take one of the cereal boxes, cut it open on the dotted lines. I it would puncture the inside plastic. You poured milk inside and are your cereal and milk out of the box! Did these boxes have dotted lines on outside? When you have crushed Doritos, add them to your meat loaf recipe to replace crackers or bread crumbs!! Delicious! Wonderful gift box!!!

The easy cheese needs the tip gently pushed to the side or downward, the harder the push the faster it will pour out of the tip.... and ya it's so processed it don't need to be refrigerated, kinda why many of us don't really like it, it doesn't taste like real cheese but there's many different ones, we have cheddar, American, jalapeño, sharp cheddar, white cheddar, and bacon (cheddar with bacon pieces mixed in). As for baby Ruth, we have many candy bars very similar to each other but may have added or skipped an ingredient to make it different like 3 musketeers and mars bars, one has caramel and the other doesn't etc. So they all taste very much like each other and one could think they are trying to replicate one another. And ya the usa is known for high sugar contents on everything. Even our everyday sandwich bread has more sugar content than anywhere else. We also like to try everything fried too lol

When I was under ten years old, we went to the “ corner store” to buy “ penny candy.” Yes, there were candies at that price! However, you could buy root beer barrels ( hard candy) for two for a penny. Popsicles were 5 cents than raised to 7 cents. Summer only flavors were banana and lime. Creamsicles were orange and cream flavored ice cream treats on a wooden stick. Buttons, small candies on a paper background were good and we ate a lot of the paper with the candies. Lick-M- Aid was a sour powder you put into your hand and licked your hand to get the substance. Candies strung on a string formed candy necklaces, popular with young girls. If you received 10 cents to spend, you could get a haul from the store!😊 sweet memories as a child growing up in the 1950’s.

No matter what type of packaging Recky finds a way to open it that would drive me absolutely insane, I don't know how Carol doesn't lose her mind.

I'm surprised about your reaction to Nutter Butters. I love them! The ones we get are shaped like a peanut though. Don't think the taste would be different though. I like dipping them in milk.

Pop Tarts are much better when you toast them. Also, it's quite easy to make a ranch seasoning mix (onion powder, dill, parsley, garlic powder, salt, pepper, dried chives and paprika). Ranch dressing is also very easy to make.

Recky, peanuts are NOT nuts. They're actually beans! That's probably why you don't have a problem eating them. Don't know why they were named peaNUTs when they're not actually nuts, but that's just how things go, lol. Cashews are another one that most people consider nuts but they are actually seeds. I don't understand how these things work. 😅

Manwich isn't too bad if you add your own ingredients to "doctor it up." The best Sloppy Joe's is of course, homemade.

Frito Pie,,,,Put a hand full of fritos in a bowl, cover with hot chili, sprinkle with cheese and chopped onion (and Jalapenos if you wish) grab a spoon and enjoy. Or float em in tomato soup. This is one of those snacks that gets better with your imagination.

When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, those cereal boxes were perforated on the back, and you cut them open into two doors, pour in milk, and eat them out of the box. Sugar Smacks had a foil inner pouch. Also, I don't know where you saw fruit on those tootsie rolls

Fyi, A "Peanut" is not a nut, its actually a Legume, like a Green Bean, hence why it isn't in the family of "Tree Nut Allergies"

I have an 18 year old Ragamuffin cat named S'mores. We call him that because he has coloring for the marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker. He's a beautiful and super sweet cat.

I like Milkyway candy bars with a side Fritos. Salt and sugar balance out.

I remember when I was a kid over 40 years ago having devil dogs in my lunch for school. Still love them. Tootsie rolls come in MANY flavors. That is the most common "fake" chocolate flavor.
